Garcia-Herrera...Expectation's

    The wake of Garcia-Herrera has gotten me to realize one thing...commentator's are not much different than fans. They have their expectation's from a fight/fighter just as we do. And when those expectation's are incorrectly calculated it can have disastrous results in their commentating and or opinion of a fight/fighter just as it would fans. I had not seen the fight live but after it viewing it, it was very much the kind of fight I expected.

    So, if I were commentating you would not see me in shock and awe of what Herrera was doing inadvertently hyping him to the point where I get myself believing he is winning the majority of rounds because I didn't believe he would be that competitive. A lot of what has transpired in the aftermath of this fight comes down to expectation.

    I myself after having seen the fight very late was "expecting" to see a Garcia robbery, and like Robert Garcia (who also seen the fight after the robbery cries) saw nowhere near a robbery. Herrera was and is a solid opponent, Danny is not perfect, we got a competitive match-up with Danny clearly winning in my opinion. It's hard to do but, people have got to keep their expectation's in check to clearly see the results of an event.

    Now, I'm ready to see endless and mindless replies of "Danny got ass whipped" etc...from all the ignit Danny hater's, lol.

    well said. i agree with what you're saying. i scored the fight a draw but could see the case for a round or two either way. commentators always skew casual fans views.

    This forum judges fights based on who they want to win. If Danny knocked Herrera out, forum users would still claim robbery.

    or they'd **** on the fight and claim he's not taking on challenges. these guys are never satisfied...or right.

    Casual fans? Danny got his ass whipped. If u don't see that then I'd say you are the casual fan. Meaning a fan of a fighter more than a fan of the sport. Meaning get off Danny's nuts! Man when did this overrated incredibly mediocre fighter get one of these hokey ass fan bases? That's the powers that be swaying YOU.     Wow, lol, you use words like mediocre in combination with Danny and then try to claim you're not a casual fan..lol, if you can't see the error in that then there's no help for your hatred. Danny appreciates and will continue to appreciate your advertising in the years to come as he will continue to give you something to hate on.

    Thanks man, the commetator's were laying it on thick and early on the casual's and for the hater's...unfortunate.

    Yeah I know it, but at the same it's fun hitting them with rationale and watching them try to scramble for something to say.

    The showtime commentator had it for Herrera. The Sky commentators had it for Herrera. The fans had it for Herrera.

    So who's blind again? Herrera backed Garcia up all night, busted up his face with clean shots. We all know who the winner is.
