Based on what I've seen of him, he seems fairly durable; and doesn't rattle easily under fire. Those attributes, combined (oddly enough) with his flaws (a tendency to be a bit methodical and not terribly ambitious in terms of doing anything more than is absolutely needed) might allow him to survive Kovalev's assault.
