    Roy Jones Jr. 16-0-0-0 (KO 16) G.O.A.T Junior Middlweight?

    I no longer feel Roy Jones was the G.O.A.T in any division Except 154, where I even him with SRR who started at Lightweight :yep

    How do you guys feel a full fledged (after modern hudration) SRR would do vs RJJ that KO1 Vaca :think

    Its 50/50, so I am tentatively putting RJJ as the G.O.A.T at 154, which is thr only weight class I can rank him as G.O.A.T. as 168 stats show it belongs to Andre Ward

    Roy Jones ranks far higher than ward at 168
    at 154 he didn't beat anyone notable so he's not the best there

    He's the best of all time at full middleweight as well. His pair of victories over a green B-Hop and Jorge Castro who was notorious for doing the minimum amount of training necessary, sometimes none at all, solidify that for him.

    :roll: All Junior Middleweights commonly fight at that non title weights 158-155

    Both fighters were ranked as Junior Middleweights...You just hate great boxers don't you :patsch

    Hagler, Monzon and possibly lots of contenders would have chinned the GOAT...which doesn't make you G.O.A.T I am open to G.O.A.T at 154 as he will face the smallest punchers and his range, power & speed are freakly maximized...I didn't see any improvement in RJJ since 154, which means that was already his best use of his natural talent...:bbb

    Interesting analysis. Browsing through his record, there is an alarming absence of KO punchers on it. Especially below 175 where they would've possessed the speed and quickness to land that glass shattering missile that bigger fighters lacked.

    I disagree with regards to his talent being all natural. A good amount of that natural talent wasn't very natural at all.

    By natural I meant, naturally specific to him. Lots of boxers get better in certain aspect as they age, RJJ qualities were more physical than anything knowledge and wisdom will not help him deal with punches better fighting at his stance, I feel at 154 he was optimized and could have been the real version of what his hard core fans envisioned him as :cool:
