Stevenson is trying to one-up Pascal. Couldn't care less about Kovalev. Not a duck.

    Disagree.

At 49 years old, Hopkins is a trap.

You beat him...... "well, of course you beat him. You're supposed to beat him. He's 40-fuggin-9."

You lose, and "you lost to an old man."

Don't get me wrong, it's no easy task(obviously). But Hopkins is pretty careful how he chooses opponents now. I don't see him facing Stevenson, or Kovalev for that matter. Wouldn't be the 1st time he's surprised me though.

That being said, I don't hear a lot of clamor for people looking for Hopkins-Stevenson. Certainly not compared to Kovalev-Stevenson.

    Shut up.

It's the most blatant duck in boxing history.

i think your wrong, though i do think jealousy plays a role between pascal and stevenson, i dont think thats the issue here....i think the real issue is money...

stevenson and bhop have been trying to make this fight for over a year now, but because of hbo/sho war there has been no possibility...its pretty clear stevenson had a plan from the begining.....sign with haymon, give him access t gbp fighter and then sign with shiw for more money than hbo was gonna gve him.....

its a $ power play, stevenson knows right now he holds the cards in the dividion, $ vs risk bhop is a much better and more profitable fight....and he knows niether him or bhop are getting any younger, he knows that the $ fight is vs bhop..

stevensons plan is simple, make the most $ now while he still holds the cards before his value goes down.....its a smart career move, sign with the manager that will give you the most $, then sign with the network that will give you the most $, then sign the fights that will pay you the most money...

like i said its all about money:deal

Except Sergey will have one belt, and "Canada's champion" will own every single one of them except Kovalev's.

Pretty sure that Pascal is with HBO.....didnt they sign him a multifight deal just in case Stevenson and Pascal were to get it on?

    Thought that's what was happening.

Stevenson vs Bute/Pascal winner, then Kovalev vs staybusy, then Kovalev vs Stevenson Pascal winner.

HBO had it all set to go and Stevenson goes after china chinned giraffe neck, no defense Fonfara.:-(

Duck Pascal, huge money fight, then duck KOvalev for supremecy of division, and ultimately he'll be ko'd by a 50 yo Roidnard.:lol::lol:

Yeah, but like most punk@ss biitches, he'll have ducked the #1 in the division en route to holding what will be little more than 3 paper sanctioning fees.

Nope, Pascal never had a deal with HBO.

lol wuuut? HBO had nothing set, especially not with Pascal. The only thing HBO was TRYING to make was to sign Stevenson so they could make him fight a tune up (Fonfara) while Kovalev fights one too (Agnew), and after that, Stevenson vs Kovalev. Both HBO and SHO made an offer, SHO's offer was higher and HBO didn't equal the offer (they had the right to), so team Stevenson decided to go with the most lucrative one.

Duck Pascal? Dafuk you on about? Pascal doesn't even have a promoter anymore, Stevenson doesn't have time to lose waiting for him.

Thanks, I just did. So, Showtime want to do Stevenson vs Fonfara and Hopkins vs Shumenov, and the winners fight each other. Nothing new here.

It clearly explains how Kovalev being left out intentionally is a ***** move and a travesty for boxing fans

I think a WORLD champion should be looking at taking fights the WORLD wants to see. Not worrying about some local pissing contest.

I get the feeling Stevenson is about the money. We'll eventually find out if he's ducking Kovalev.
