Someone told me Mike was a warrior but when Tony Weeks asked him if he wanted to continue fighting...Mike said "NO."

Damn, another stool-quitter to add to the list.

Because taking too much punishment to the brain can have serious consequences.

No, he went out on his stool in the 10th instead of coming out for one more round in the 11th round like Miguel did.

I think casually quitting on your stool and NOT in the heat of a beatdown, is a few notches below taking knee. And keep in mind....Miguel fought 11 rounds against a plaster wrapped freak.

Sorry but the LONG line of quitters from Mexico is crazy. Chavez, Oscar, Alvarado...Izzy, Rafa... Just to refresh your memory.

BRB, going to watch JuanMa knock De Leon the fack out again real quick.

    Who can blame him?

He was already slurring going into that fight, he's got a family to go home to.
He took enough punishment in that fight.

Why are you crying? You seem to like the threads trying to diss non mexican fighters.

I was just stating how disappointed in Alvarado I was to hear him tell Tony Weeks "NO."

I expected him to go out on his shield.

The long history of stool-victims is duly noted. You know it and I know. Don't hide behind false claims of "warrior" bro. Accept it.

why are you questioning alvarado's mettle?

when was the last time you were in the ring in a televised championship fight?

it happens. it's not the end of the world. these guys are putting their lives on the line for our entertainment. stop judging a man for being human.

Because he has kids. And the fight was loss. He didn't quit, he just looked at the bigger picture.
