Tyson was never a great close range fighter, he was more of a mid range fighter. It might be a no brainer for you, but it's not for me. As mentioned I think Tyson would win, but I also think Lewis would beat Tyson so who knows. But this idea that Tyson can't be beat has long ago faded away. I'm a bit older than Tyson and I remember that for about 3-4 years everyone (even me) thought he was invincible, turns out he wasn't.

im not shouting down your opinion in anyway m8,just apart from leaning on and holding and using his extra size tysons short punches on the inside would be hard for foreman to combat

That's a common misconception. Prime Tyson was at his best on the inside.

You're not a mid range fighter when you have short reach and your best weapons are uppercuts and body shots.

It's not a common misconception at all, watch his fights, and when he was hurt did he ever hold or try and tie up a fighter? The defensive part of his inside game was non existent and as for throwing body shots, mid range is exactly where you should be, too close and you don't get proper leverage, this is why when a fighter hurts another fighter and is extremely close to them, they'll often take a step back so that the can get better leverage on their punches.

His whole mission was to get inside. He was throwing fro mid range because all his opponents were in retreat. Once he got inside he stayed there and worked the guy over. Later in his career he became a mid range head hunter. Learn the sport ffs.

Well ****head apparent, both myself and George Chuvalo don't know the sport. read it and choke you ****ing clown.

    George Chuvalo:

And Tyson. He’s a tough kid. He walks right in. He’s that kind of a guy. He’s got lots of balls too. I like Tyson. I’d like to meet Tyson and show him a couple of things. I could help Mike.

His problem is he doesn’t know how to fight on the inside. If you take a look at his fight with Buster Mathis, Jr., he exposed that. There’s a ***** in the armor. He’s too straight up on the inside. If he ever pulled his right leg back, his whole upper body would be at a forty five degree angle. He’s have his head on the other guy’s chest. He’d be safe. The other guy would have no room for any leverage and Mike would have all the leverage. His stance works against him on the inside. He’s easy to push back and he can’t fight when he’s going backwards. But Mike is a helluva an athlete. He’s very quick, got great reflexes and punches like a bazooka. He’s the only guy out there in the heavyweights who can give you goosebumps

I clearly said prime Tyson before he because the mid range, one shot hitman.

Are you going to tell me Frazier wasn't an inside fighter either.

Come up with your own arguments. ffs you're amateur.

Man this sites become crap lately.

Clowns like you should be only allowed to talk to other clowns.

Thank god there's an ignore button here or I'd be off this site by now. Been on here for about 15 years and posters like you never use to exist, people actually knew what they were talking about, now they're just dick suckers of one fighter or another. Not too hard to figure out why the best posters have migrated off this site.
