Sergei Kovalev should drop his WBO title and pay off the WBC for an eliminator

It's a very likely possibility that Enzo will be holding that "joke" belt in a few days.........

And we can best believe if Enzo ever holds another trinket, there will be a long line of nobodies and hasbeens lined up around the globe for the opportunity to KO1 the WBA Champion of the World.

Hell, Is Left Hook Lacy still around.....maybe he could coax Slappy outta retirement when he's the WBA LHW Champ.:yep:yep:yep

 

As to the OP.....I voted YES......

He won that title legitimately from a legitimate top 5 LHW who defended it legitimately for a couple yrs.

That said, however anyone hates on Cleverly, his defense of the WBO title was far better than Clouds defense of his IBF title, or Dawsons defense of his WBC.

MOF.....Cleverly was all but begging for the BHOP fight between defenses. Can't fault him for not trying to unify.

Now, Dawson has been exposed as a severely broken fighter. Ward drained him and he still hasnt recovered. If Dawson's ever going to return, it'll be as a CW, IF he can add to his power.
I give no credit to Ward or Steveson for beating Dawson who has only 2 wins, 1 solid, in 4 yrs after his loss to Pascal.

Sad as it may be, Nathan Cleverly was the legitimate LHW Champion when Kovalev beat him.
BUT.....Sergei NEEDS either Pascal or Stevenson to prove he's #1. He aint getting BHOP, since BHOP already sidestepped him as IBF mando, and has said he won't make the fight.

So, if KOvalev cant get Pascal into the ring in his next fight, he should drop the WBO title and line himself up in the WBC and IBF rankings to fight as mandatory challenger and force Stevenson to ADMIT he don't want the fight EVER.:deal
