GGG'S days of being undefeated are numbered. its only a matter of time before he runs into a fighter that will outbox him. I swear everytime there is a fighter with a little bit of skill and power he gets built up to be this unstoppable terminater and they always lose. triple G will be no different.

 

Why do people continue to insist that he hasn't fought anyone yet? Has he fought anyone phenomenal? No. But Macklin, Proksa, Rosado, and Stevens are all B or B+ caliber fighters. Hardly 'no hope bums'. The fact that he beat them all relatively handily does not degrade their skill level.

Bute and Berto were never considered world class by people who actually understood a little bit about boxing. Golovkin obviously is world class, he can't be compared to the likes of Berto ffs.

 

Bute beated the actual WBC champion, Bika, who gave Ward his toughest fight.

Bute was caught early on by a shot and never recovered in England, or anywhere else. Bute was world class. Ward didn't want to fight him even though it was the fight that would have made the most money for him. Ward and Froch said during the S6 that Bute was legit and that the winner should fight him.

 

OP obviously doesn't understand boxing since Macklin, who in many people's books BEAT Felix Sturm and put up a good performance against Martinez can hardly be considered a bum.

Macklin is not a bum.
He is on the level of a Magee, or over 70% of the fighters found on Joe Calzaghe's resume. Solid B lvel competitors.

The strongest opponent on GGG's resume is Stevens, as prior to Froch, the strongest on Bute's resume was Johnson.

F.W. laid out the Fight Hype plan, and it seems that all European fighters of today are following it to the T.
The plan is brilliant and is akin to it's political counterpart, the GOP's Southern Strategy. It seems the target psychologies in politics and boxing are identical.

The only reason GGG didn't "beated" then WBA champ Sturm or Geale (who beat Sturm shortly before Sturm was stripped for ducking GGG) is because Geale was stripped of the belt for ducking the GGG fight.

El Chicano, I appreciate your obvious support of great Mexican fighters. They are favorites with me, as well. However, Chavez Jr., while having all the potential, is NOT a great Mexican fighter. His daddy certainly was. Until Jr. decides to take training- and his place as a sports figure- seriously, he is never going to really contribute to the sport. Your posts about this fight remind me of the fifteen or twenty discussions I had with my Mexican boxing friends who were all convinced that Canelo would beat Floyd. In fact, I bet you posted the same thing. The truth was different though... just as it will be in this case. Please DO keep supporting your favorite fighters. There are other great fighters out there, though, and while I don't know yet that GGG is one of those, I'm confident he will prove that Chavez Jr. is not.
