    Discuss.

Both have faced their share of hard punchers and neither of them has gone done once in their career legitimately.

    :think

Danny took Matthysse's best shot straight on the button and shook it off.

Took his bombs for 12 rounds and was not close to going down.

And faced off against other big punchers and has not gone down

    Floyd Mayweather

Has not gone down once in his career. The only time he's ever gone down was when he touched down because his hand was in excruciating pain. No punch was connected on him before that knee.

He's faced off against huge punchers in his career and has not gone down.

    Please discuss.

    1. He took 2 huge bombs from Mosley and was beating Mosley up for the rest of the round

    2. He was never hurt vs Herrera.

    :hi:

one shot from a old washed up mosley (unroided) sent mayweather scrambling and wobbling to the ropes

when margo took the same shots but 1000 of them and it took mosley hitting him for 9 rounds for him to buckle:deal

Actually, he didn't take a knee. He turned his back, bent over, shook his arm, and his glove touched the canvas. None the less, he's proven to have a good chin. I don't believe he has the best chin in the sport though. It's hard to say who holds that distinction.

Hasnt fought a legit fight in many years either.

I give Mayweather credit for his come-up. When he was on his way up he took the tough fights he needed to. But nothing he has done in many years has impressed me at all.

Honestly dont care much anymore. Only a handful more fights, then we wont have to hear about him anymore.

Nah, I dont follow classic boxing forums.

If he has success with his promotional company, then yeah we might. I wish him luck finding new good fighters and putting on good fights if thats what he wants to do.

As a boxer though, I could care less. After his career when the fandom from some of his biggest followers dies down, as it will once he no longer fights, then the 20/20 hindsight of history will kick in. Boxers arent remembered because they made a big PPV. They are remembered for their career.

Floyd will be remembered as a talented, possibly the most talented guy of the 2000's - who never really proved it and established himself as a great the same way SRR, SRL, Ali, Hagler, etc. 10 years from now noone will remember or care he once had the biggest PPV event.
