This. Marquez doesn't want to have blurred vision and ringing in his ears for two months. He wants to stay safe in case he gets another shot at Bradley. I doubt it will happen though.

At this late point of his career Marquez is aware that this a fight where he can take a lot of punishment and can potentially suffer the first knockout loss of his career .

He likes the fact that hes never been stopped in his career despite losing 7 times and wants to keep it that way .

Marquez saying Provodnikov fight wont gain nothing for him and then going on to sign a fight with a fighter Ruslan in his last fight just beat the sh#t out of and stopped him .

It was a blatant duck and Marquez actions made that clear as night and day .

No way in hell is Marquez intimidated by Ruslan , Any fighter thats WILLING to fight Manny Pacquiao 4 times truly has a fearless mentality .

He just sees this fight as too big of a risk .
