Although I personally have Marquez ahead in their series 2-1-1, I think it's extreme to say Marquez "has his number" when the fights were so close and competitive.

Foreman-Frazier, Forrest-Mosley, those are examples when I think one guy has another guy's number.

I got the score 2-2, and JMM would win a 5th encounter.

    Pac/Marq 1 - Had Manny winning

    Pac/Marq 2- Had Marquez winning

    Pac/Marq 3- had it a DRAW

Pac/Marq 4 - Manny easily winning and even the Knockdown that Marquez scored in round 3 . Manny was winning the round as well . Marquez was a bloody mess and turned it all around with a single punch . Much respect to Marquez for that beautiful Knockout
even though he made me lose money .

I would not say Marquez had Pacquiaos number because Every fight was close/competitive , Not once was there ever a CLEAR ,CLEAR winner and Marquez was always the one that was hitting the canvas .

That always made it hard for the judges to give the fight to him and allowed Manny to eek out close decisions against him .

Aside from the knockdowns, Marquez took Pac to school even though Pac threw a hella lot of punches back then.

In the third fight, Marquez schooled Pac the Worse, making Pac throw random punches to the air in desperation.

Marquez knew he didnt had to leave it up to the judges in the fourth, so he went for the kill.

    It's a good ending.

People dont get that, in the 4th fight, it was a brawl, more than a boxing fight.

I've come to the conclusion that Pac fans are hypocrites.. They really dont care if their hero dies, as long as they get a W.

They cancel each other out to a degree, that's why their fights are generally so close. If one had the others number then one of them would be 4-0 and neither guy has come close to that.

I would have to say so one guy should really be 4-0 vs the other, neither one of the first two fights were considered close until the third and forth fight happen then suddenly it changed to Manny won the first 2, Marquez has beaten Pacquiao. As far as I know if you knock somebody down three times in one round all you need is a total of 4/12 rounds to win the fight it ended in a draw that says you got your ass kicked basiclly every round after the first, fight two was clearer than the first but again the knockdown pretty much saved Pac from the loss. Fight three was looked at as a cherry pick when it was first announced only for Marquez to dominate that fight really wasn't close either it was competitive but not close I had Marquez up like 4/5 round before I could find a round to give Pac, the last fight I don't know if people are blind or just refuse to give credit Pac only had one dominate round which was round 5 and he almost got dropped again in the same round seconds before he managed to drop Marquez then got stopped in the next round, I don't see how its a lucky pucnh when he wasn't taking damage at the end of the round eyes never left the target and had beeen hitting him with the same shot the entire fight to that point, a lucky punch is more like Garcia over Kahn or Pacquiao over Hatton eyes closed head down don't even know where your throwing at it just lands hard

You do realize if Manny somehow got off the floor from that punch he would have been down on all the scorecards at the end of round 6 right?

How was he "easily winning" again?

Everything, word for word almost, I find highly agreeable except for that very last underlined statement... Those weren't lucky punches either.

I'm not saying necessarily they were lucky punches imo they weren't just using them as an example that those are more lucky than the shot Marquez landed, Marquez never took his eyes off Pac the whole time and you can see him setting up that shot.

Marquez is almost 41 and if they fight he'll be closer to 42. Pac is 35. It's not rocket science. Funny how everyone says Pac was winning until the KO like it was a blowout. Pac was up by one point by the judges. I'm sure some had JMM winning.

What can't be denied is Marquez KTFO6 is greater than any Manny KO.

Apparently Marquez do have Pac number. Pac have struggled with him every time they fought, but could never knock him out. Every time Marquez went down he would always rise to the occasion. Pac went down twice within four meetings and could not get back up the second time he went down. That tells me a few things. 1. Marquez is tougher 2. Has more will. 3. His power is underrated compare to Pacs. So with that I would definitely have to say, he has Pacquiao number.
