No I didn't say that. I'm responding to the question that the thread starter asked. They both struggled, but out of all the opponents that Pac has face and was able to dominate, he did not or could not dominate Marquez. To this date Marquez victory tops any of the victories Pac has over him.
He does. Everything pac does marquez is right there ready to throw combinations. Other fighters get overwhelmed by pac's movement, speed, offense, etc. As a pac fan I hope a 5th fight does not happen. It's getting old now and pac will have to go through another war and if he wins so ****ing what? I want pac to fight new guys.
I think Pacquiao's struggles with Marquez has more to due with level of comp Pacquiao has a lot of good names on his record but for the most part since he left 126 or after Barerra I everybody he's fought had recently gotten their will broken except Marquez leading into there fight with Pac. A good fighter who is confident and on a high is more dangerous than a great fighter who's mentally/physically fatigued.
I think Marquez beats Pac more often than Pac beats Marquez. I don't thinks fair to say Juan has his number. Did Gatti have Wards number? Did Barrera have Morales number? They were competitive with each other.
H2H JMM is simply the better fighter. 1 decade and 3 divisions and Pac has yet to beat Marquez convincingly. KTFO6 is just the karmic payback to corrupt/inept scoring in the first 3 fights:deal
With a different ref, there wouldn't be a fifth fight because the first fight would have ended as a one round stoppage after that third KD. Then again with still another ref, Manny would have been penalized for hitting JMM when he was down; then Marquez would have won that initial match.
How does he have his number when all fights were extremely close and 50/50?, even the fourth fight was extremely close with Marquez looking beaten and battered at the time of the stoppage. Good examples of having one's number are Tyson vs Holyfield, Ali vs Liston, Liston vs Patterson, Pavlik vs Taylor, Mosley vs Forrest(Rest in Peace)...etc
:-( Scar actually made a good post and provided examples to support his case. I suppose you are upset he isn't going to bull**** and claim Marquez dominated Pac in every fight with ease. These were competitive hard fought fights regardless of who's hand you feel should hvae been raised at the end, the "having the number" title doesn't fit in these instances. ****.
In those 6 rnds , Manny was practically winning every round , not allowing Marquez to counter him like in the previous fights , beating him to the punch , landing the harder punches . Tagging him repeatedly with the left , knocked him down . He painted Marquez with a mask of his own blood . Marquez own trainer even admitted he was scared for Juan . You can't deny everything was going Mannys way before he got put to sleep .
