Joe Louis was pretty much a LHW by modern standards, no Klit fan but they would demolish him

Blind sheep that follows the herd. People who lose to 38 year old past his prime Lennox Lewis, Sanders, Purity, and Brewster are not highly skilled. They only look that way by comparison

YDKSAB henry armstrong was a flat footed slow slugger, the best boxers ever are the most talented ie the most skilled armstrong would barely land a punch on mayweather let alone win a round, u morons fantasize over past fighters who are soo technically deficit and limited they would be journeymen in today's game

boxing is about talent the greater talent always wins as long as they are motivated in condition etc, old time fighters are jut not talented enough simple, boxing is a game of skill

Henry Armstrong would ****ing kill Mayweather.

Mayweather is a great, great fighter. A great fighter, and he could beat some wonderful guys, I bet.

Armstrong is not one of those guys. Hell. No.

Yeah, I will give Mayweather a compliment and say that he could hang with Henry and have his moments. Maybe even last the distance.

Beat Hank at his best, though...?

    Not happening.

It helps to know what you're talking about before you attempt to talk about something.

The footage of Armstrong is out there. Watch it, and then your opinion might mean something.

Idiotic moron, blinded by their fantasies of past fighters, skill wins, and these fighters were so technically limited they just couldn't do it,

armstrong would get schooled by mayweather

I don't think you can compare today's fighters with yesterday's fighters.

    - Nutrition is better today. Today's fighters are stronger so it is easier to hurt someone than in the past. Just check the per capita fatalities today than yesterday even when rounds were reduced to 12.

    - Techniques used by fighter today is so much superior. For example, Armstrong wins fights by digging his head to his opponents chest and just keep throwing lucky shots to the head. This technique is not going to work with today's fighters

    - Fighters today are better prepared during a fight. Yesterday's fighters fought like 20x per year. You can't be at your best at that condition. Today's best fighters prepare at least 2 months alone for a fight.

    - The population today is at least triple than some of those in the list. The world is also smaller, meaning, foreign fighters joins the competition more. Just look at the old list. They are mostly Americans! They were not tested at world stage to properly rate them.

Time will tell where Floyd and Pac belongs here. 50 years from now, for example, Pac's 8 division and 4 lineal wins will be tested. More data will be available. We'll be able to see how long that record will stand with todays multi-divisional and multi-promotional set-up.
