When did i say Eubank had NO boxing skills ?
My point was he liked to attribute his successes as the results of his great boxing skills, when in reality it was mainly his other qualities that brought him victories.
The fact his career was rather a short one, compared to other so called "great" boxers", is a dead giveaway to this.

Take a look at his list of foes and number how many times he struggled with good boxers.

ALL the american middles, Roy Jr, Toney, Nunn, Mc Callum, were better boxers than him.

    By far.

I have seen Eubank admit in the past that he was not the best skilled, most powerful or most talented boxer but what allowed him to achieve as much as he did was his determination and his perseverance. Just throwing that comment out there.

Eubank could never have made heavyweight. He was too small to carry the weight. He struggled to make Cruiserweight.

Eubank had good skills but he was no where near as good as Bulldog24/Atberry thinks, he could be and was outboxed during his career.

Toney wore down Nunn with counter rights which he timed with Nunn's right jab. Jones doesn't use that punch in that way

If you are struggling with the likes of Tarver and Harding then Nunn(mw) is going to give you fits

He did not pursue the Douglas fight until about 4 months AFTER he vacated the belt saying that Nunn did not deserve a purse.

Jones' decision due today on Nunn fight

Eubank struggled with Dan Sherry and Dan Schommer. That was it. Sherry ran around like a rabbit all night refusing to engage, and Schommer was a back-foot southpaw with a wide stance. Anyone would struggle.

Nunn was a better pure boxer than ANYONE, including Pernell. The Toney who fought Barkley was better than Eubank and any fighter in the world. I wouldn't say Jones or McCallum were better boxers. Eubank was far slicker than Jones, and had better ring generalship and foot movement than McCallum (and Jones for that matter).

Mike was an effortless triple-jabber and had a tremendous uppercut to the body and tremendous counters to the body, but he wasn't as creative or flashy as Eubank to the head or around the ring.

Jones punched as incorrectly as one could punch and Eubank quite the opposite! Not saying Jones wasn't the out-and-out freak in terms of natural athleticism - he was.

The slightly out of distance southpaw Schommer outboxed him 7,000ft above sea level. That was it.

He actually failed to make weight for the 2nd Thompson fight, coming in at 193 (Roy's weight for Ruiz) and had to jump rope for an hour in front of a heater.

He sparred weekly and sometimes daily with Herbie Hide for four years (89-92) and never went down once.

He fought world-class fighters from early '86 (Holland) to late '98 (Thompson) with 50 fights inbetween. That's a long pro career of about 13 years.

The guys Eubank fought that were genuine world class imo were Benn, Watson, Rocchigiani, Collins and maybe Thompson but he was some what limited.

Holland, a world classed fighter ?
In his first ever pro fight vs Eubank ?

    :rofl

Boxers don't get finished at 29.
    Fighters do.

And that's all what Chris really was.
A very good fighter; but certainly not a master boxer, like he's attempting to portray himself.
