Sergey Kovalev vs. Cedric Agnew & Thomas Dulorme vs. Karim Mayfield RBR

I definitely agree with that in general principle. Round in question, it did seem close as it was happening but to me Dulorme seemed that little bit more effective. I can definitely see giving it level, though - or even arguing it a close one for Mayfield. (though it still wouldn't affect the outcome, then, as Dulorme had another six clear frames)

 

Sergey Kovalev vs. Cedric Agnew, 12 rounds @ light heavyweight

 

Round 1

Kovalev is pawing with his left jab, putting up triangular overhand rights with his elbow bent as he presses in. Agnew is circling to his right and firing 1-2s from the southpaw configuration. Agnew backs Kovalev up briefly with a double jab and left cross, obliquely skidding over the knuckle pads of Kovalev and partially landing. Kovalev taps Agnew on the guard with jabs and pecking rights, feeling him out. Agnew keeps his face shielded while standing pat, waiting. Kovalev moves forward, doubling his jab and following with a right hand and big left hook. Low blow by Agnew, dropping Kovalev to his knees. Kovalev does a few stretches, touching his toes, shaking it off. He takes less than a minute. Time in. Ten second clap. Kovalev stalks and jabs the body once before the bell.
