I never said it was ok for Ward to fight him, what the hell are you talking about with this Ward crap?

Sergio was chasing a guy in his division who has a belt. Nothing wrong with that. Chavez was actually coming off a string of decent victories before he fought Martinez.

No need to get defensive. The point is, even much higher rated guys were after Chavez, and neither had to budge from his weight class. Lineal champ Martinez spent a year insulting paper champ Chavez in the media, and Ward was slobbering all over him all night on HBO.

Alright prima donna's. I've read the astonishing amount of posters
on here calling a Jr win, so i'm writing your names down and you
all need to come see me June 20th to get served up your plate.
Don't be the *****.es your mom raised, man up and admit your
    white hate snow blinded you.
Chavez Jr is going to be beaten to a bloody pulp if he isn't
smooth KO'd 1st. No way GGG loses this fight, never in a
million years. GGG is going to show Sergio's coward butt how
    you smoke a cheating clubfighter.

Again, Chaves was a belt holder in the same weight class as Martinez, of course Martinez wanted to fight him.

GGG needs to move up because Chavez can't make 60. I don't even know why GGG wants to fight Chavez when he's just going to move back to 60 after the fight. My guess is he wants another easy fight and money, low risk/high reward is what he's after, like all boxers pretty much.

Lineal champs don't have to be chasing green paper champs or trolling them non stop in the press. it's unbecoming.

Chavez is a massive opportunity, both in money and exposure. The only realistic PPV for GGG, or excellent ratings on HBO WCB, for the best money available. Not that there was another appealing fight on the table. None of the rated SMWs made any offers, and the MWs have been running for a long time, except a few fringe guys with nothing to lose.

    :good:deal

indeed, Chavez Jr & the winner of Martinez - Cotto fight are the only realistic PPV matches for GGG, or excellent ratings on HBO WCB, for the best money available - as you said.

Canelo & Quillin could be another 2 big PPV fights for GGG but the SHO - HBO issue won't let these fights happen.

Insanely good fight. Easily one of my anticipated this years. I think Chavez looked really good against Vera so I think this could go both ways.

im not sure if there is a rehydration clause in the contract but iv not seen any news of it so one would assume it does not exist and chavez is able to come in at some outlandish weight (maybe with the help of dieretics and dodge a **** test like his done in the past)

    exactly
so many dumbasses on here that think that someone who drinks 2 gallons of water after the weigh in makes him into some kind of unstoppable beast with an advantage.

the most legitimate bet on this fight would be over/under 1 day, for time Chavez spends in the hospital after the fight. or maybe over/under 10 stitches. or over/under 1 broken rib or jaw. ok, i guess there are a few 50/50 bets.
