The Irish must be the only race in which 99% of its sportsmen would rather live anywhere in the world than Ireland.

Shows how proud they are of their roots, clearly.

If his Dad was born in Galway, you'd think Tyson would have been allowed to represent Ireland as an amateur. He was rejected because he couldn't prove any familial link to the country. It seems like the Fury's are lying about an Irish connection for commercial reasons.

ah ya keep thinking that, there probebly lieing about being travellers too:patsch Fury did represent Ireland as an amateur the problem came about when another club who had a super heavyweight complained about his eligability and from what i understand there was a lot of red tape after that and he turned pro anyway.

There is no logical or commercial reason for lying about being a traveller.

You really are a pathetic troll Solaris, and it's the likes of you that I and many other good posters rarely post here anymore.

Nationality often is determined by place of birth but it's also often much more complicated than that. Maybe you can't get your tiny mind around more complex theories!

Going on your 'place of birth' rationale, how many of these should have been allowed compete for England or GB?

John Barnes (football), Greg Rusedski (tennis), Kevin Pietersen (cricket), Ted Bami (boxing), Graeme Hick (cricket), Matt Stevens (rugby union), Andrew Caddick (cricket), Graeme LeSaux (football), Terry Butcher (football), Matt LeTissier (football), Matt Banahan (rugby union), Brian Stein (football), John Salako (football), Tony Dorigo (football) Luther Blissett (football), Rob Jones (football), Gordon Hodgson (football), Joe Baker (football). Steve Lambert (football) Colin Viljoen (football), Dylan Hartley (rugby union), Peter Nicol (squash), Cyrille Regis (football), Allan Lamb (cricket), Germaine Mason (athletics), Tony Greig (cricket), Zola Budd (athletics), Robin Smith (cricket), Lee Dickson (rugby union), Tim Ambrose (cricket), Pat Barnard (rugby union), Jonathan Trott (cricket), Matt Prior (cricket), Lesley Vainikolo (rugby league and union), Alexander Obolensky (rugby union), Owen Hargreaves (football), Clinton McKenzie (boxing), Takaloo (boxing), Riki Flutey (boxing), Mike Catt (rugby union), Henry Paul (rugby union), Luol Deng (basketball), Olga Butkevich (olympic wrestling) and Linford Christie (athletics)

Now that you are firmly back in your hypocritical jackasses box can you stop trolling and talk boxing.

Your post had absolutely nothing to do with mine. I am struggling to see why you wasted your time writing that rubbish.

Well said, but this type of guy is a management issue.

Where is the management? Do they care about the damage failing to clobber this type of clown is doing their website?

Surely even a rudimentary glance at, say, his last 100 posts for example (as a representative sample of his "contributions") would make it clear to even the most tolerent site management that it is long past time for action here.

Feel free to talk about brit boxers just don't try to claim them as your own because they go for a pint in (an english) town on paddys day.
