I think that it's great that Russia has loaded up 50 military transports and dumped 10,000 Russian boxers on to American soil.
In their extreme desperation for acknowledgement in boxing circles, Russia is trying to gain this acknowledgement by flooding the US not with quality, but with volume.

I predict that this new straight forward, hard punching European style will flood the market and have some success in gaining titles in many divisions.
This will initiate US promoters to start supporting real US boxers with real skills to compete against them.
As always, a good boxer will always defeat a good puncher, and the US will resume scouting for good boxers.:yep

This is all good. It will be due to Russia that the US will develop better boxing competition.

I dont go in for all this nationalism nonsense, but America DOES have a very good batch of fighters under the age of 26 or so.
It looks like the next 5-10 years will be a very strong one for American fighters.

LOL, the site is filled with UK hero threads.
Bute, Kovalev, GGG, Loma are all hyped because of their nationality.
There is an Irish Boxing thread.

Never saw you in any of those hundreds of threads being against nationality, but here you are against when America is talked about. :rofl:rofl:rofl

Did you see me in any of those threads in favor of nationality bull****?

People who care about nationality are about one step above those who believe in the tooth fairy

    Truthfully, I never noticed you.

Still, what I say ha truth and it is not me that is creating the divide, the distinction, or the hype.

24-0 Agnew was unknown before last night. Why was that?

Please ignore this attention starving moron. He's never made a
thread w/ merit. America's boxing scene is on the decline if
anything. We didn't have a single medal in the last olympics
and the last one we did was a bronze, and that distinction goes
to the guy who's a brutal and embarrasing KO waiting to happen.
America has been weakened by 2 things. Entitlement syndrome
and gluttony. Both of which are perpetrated by a higher force
that will likely see us slip into the underdeveloped nation status
within the next 25 years. US and rebound don't belong in the same
    sentence.

I America is so bad, why are Russians flocking here and Americans not flocking to Russia? :rofl:rofl

Believe me. American fighter promoters and managers just needed some incentive. Now they will have it. Don't believe me. Ask Farmboxer. :bbb

To be honest, I think America actually does have a lot of top young fighters. Guys who are 26 or under.

    Terence Crawford
    Mikey Garcia
    Jessie Vargas
    Julian Williams
    Demetrius Andrade
    Danny Garcia
    Shawn Porter
    Omar Figueroa
    Both Charlo brothers
    Daniel Jacobs
    Adrien Broner

All these guys are still young and have already made their mark and have either won world titles or are in the frame to win one.

Then you have young up and comers like
    Jose Benavidez
    Errol Spence
    Raushee ******
    Erickson Lubin
    Luis Arias
    Thomas Williams Jnr
    Alex Saucedo
    Frankie Gomez
    Dusty Hernandez
    J'Leon Love

Then you have another category of guys who are established and wont be going anywhere anytime soon Like Ward, Donaire,Quillin,Bradley even Floyds got another couple of years left in him.

Doesnt seem like the worst batch of fighters going forward... Certainly not the death of American boxing like some people are making out

Which of those are the future Tyson, Leonard, Frazier, Holmes, Pryor, Mayweather?

    Who knows.
With the inrush of power punching Russians it will certainly motivate those on the list to hone and perfect their boxing skills.

Frankly, Im pretty sure none of thesew guys could give a single fuk what nationality the guy in the other corner was.

They, like any pro boxer, just want to win.

So currently US promoters only support US boxers without real skills? Yeah, because that makes great business sense.

Most of these guys are not "punchers." Again, if you're going to go by SweetSciGuru you need to learn the technical side of the sport. All of these guys coming from the old eastern bloc amateur system are highly trained boxers who also are very technically trained in the body mechanics of punching. Along with a little help from Mother Nature in their muscle fiber type and they have power. You think if someone doesn't bounce around the ring on the balls of their feet than they are not using boxing skills; that they are nothing but a puncher? That couldn't be further from the truth. Most of these guys are boxer-punchers, not punchers. They have and use extensive boxing skills. Your failure to deduce this is concerning since you claim to be a guru at the sweet science.

They care all right. Nationality can say a lot about a fighter's style.
Remember Mayweather, The Black mamba. Known for figting and defeating many Mexican fighters.
When he meet Leonard, he knew it was going to be a whole different fight.
Dare tell me there was absolutely no Italian pride when Marciano fought.
LOL, the whole movie ROCKY is about that.

If you deny nationality in boxing, I guess you don't much like watching the Olympics.

So if Charlo gets a title fight, you think he'll fight harder against Baysangurov, then he will against Andrade???

These guys fight for legacy and money, a "w" is a "w".

Save the nationalism for the amateurs
