I don't think Pacquaio would land a meaningful punch the whole fight. He would get schooled and embarrassed. The hilarious thing is Pacquaio isn't even a 'puncher' anymore. He hasn't KOed anyone worth a crap in ages.

There's blinded *****'s and Blinded Floyd haters. I hate both and have a more realistic view on Floyd's ability/greatness.

Armstrong was not as slick or as skilled a pressure fighter as someone like Duran but he was highly effective at what he did and that is a skill in it's own right. He was an absolute beast of a fighter.

He fights toe to toe until he begins to pick you apart and then walks the other fighter down :deal

i have been arguing this subject before, and it's funny that BOXING is only sport in history were atheletes were better than now.i find it truly hilarious that these fanatics claims that and also believe it's true.

    track&field atheletes are now better
football players are better, soccer players are better, basketball players are better, baseball players are better.

we have more stamina, more power, more speed, more data to analyze etc..

and it's a proven FACT that human race have evolved many ways.still these hardheads claim that boxing is ONLY SPORT WHERE ATHLETES AND TECHNICUES HAVE GONE BACKWARDS.

how many will claim that jesse owens would beat usain bolt 1vs1?

how about wilt chamberlain beating michael jordan?

pele got better ball control than messi?

how many world records we have still from early 1900's?

in every other sport greats from the past would not win in modern era.but boxing is different than every other sport?

    less power,less stamina,less speed,less data etc..

i think we should start doing something to boxing?i mean i don't want to watch a sport where we every year go downhill and atheletes have less skill and physical atributes every year.

I think the main reason why he comes across as being limited was the fact that he never really fought off the back foot, which is something Duran could do very well. (Chavez, too). Duran and Chavez get the edge in terms of slickness by virtue of their ability to mix it up in that regard.

But Armstrong had a crazy bob 'n weave, could close distance on a fighter about as well as anyone who stepping inside the ring, and worked angles in the trenches very, very well. As you say, he did what he did extremely well, and it takes a lot of skill to make that happen.

:deal ur absolutely right! but even something like sprinting is somewhat genetic based, ie if your white and have no explosiveness but the best tehcnique you probably wo nt be the best, boxing is different in that its not about athleticism or whatever you need them in small amounts but boxing skills are the most important, like you said these hard heads are soo biased even when the facts are completely against them, just an ignorant bunch! these old timers are too technically limited to win, its all about skills so they couldn't simple as!

THe biggest thing is these guys probably have never put on the gloves before and if you havn't boxed so they believe these myths

thats irrelevant but i had it the same as lederman had it 11-1 pacquaio complete shut out but credit to Bradley for not giving up he has the official win :deal

next fight will be very intriguing bradley says he had both feet messed up in the first fight he is know the number 1 p4p going to be a big test for pacquaio

if pacquaio wins this match up under the these circumstances it will be a great win

With tim bein no. 3 n PAC bein down a ways at 7 maybe...and ward just sitting there in no. 2 spot having beat no one who was previously on p4p list and not lined up to fight anyone...I'd say the winner should at least be in consideration of the no. 2 spot.

    Good post :good

I really don't think Armstrong comes across as being limited though. He laid beating's on damn near every boxer he faced in his prime, in a great era, even much bigger men who were slicksters got a going over.

To some boxing fans who follow certain fighters only the ability to evade shots and counter punch equals skilled or 'unlimited' while the ability to effectively apply pressure and maul equals crude and limited. It's ignorance on the highest level.

It's obviously trolling going on in here but I cant ****ing help myself replying to their bull**** :patsch

That sounds about right.. IMO though if Pac won, he would still be behind Bradley depending on how he won.. Pac did lose 2x in a row.. One by Bradley and one by KO by the guy Bradley just beat...

Over the course of 5 fights, Mayweather beats anyone in history. Including SRR, SRL, Duran etc. Best of 5, Mayweather wins hands down. I understand if you think SRR or Hearns could beat him and i agree, but over 5 fights, Mayweather will win the majority of them. There is no blueprint
