Boone dropped Kovalev heavily also and had him in survival mode, he was also knocked out in the amateurs, so id say their chins are probably about the same level. Saying Kovalev has a better jaw is just speculation/wishful thinking

Yes, he was knocked down, Stevenson was KTFO by Boone, see the difference?

And Stevenson was never knocked out cold with headgear on by a guy wearing 12oz gloves.

    LOL. Seriously.
Stevenson jab and ring movement (balance) ar better than Kovalev's. He counters better also.

Stevenson doesn't use his jab all that often, he seems to rely mostly on his big left hand, his workrate is also pretty low, but he is faster and more mobile than Krusher, to me 50/50 fight, though I can see cases being made for 60/40 in favour of either man

Those 22 power shote he landed in just over six rounds at a 20% connect rate sure spell potential doom for Kovalev. LOL

Another thread fueled by agenda and wishfull thinking.

Agnew is featherfisted. Wouldnt take 22 powershots from Stevenson to lay Sergey out

Stevenson never fought that many fights in the amateurs and he didn't fight Atoev (or whatever his name is), nor is it certain that Kovalev was knocked out "cold" considering the clip doesn't show it.

We go by their common opponent, Stevenson was knocked the **** out by Boone, Kovalev was knocked down but he got up and went on to win the fight.

Stevenson is a south paw, he uses a right jab, and he uses it well. You can't come out of the Kronk gym and not use a jab.
Remember, he was trained by Stewart.
You know, the same dude who helped the Klits to develop and rely on their jabs. :yep

Agnew has decent power. He had enough to cut Kovalev with the few punches he threw.
The problem with Agnew is he fought a punchers fight and if you're not throwing punches, you can't win that fight.

I'm not saying he doesn't have a good jab, because he does, he just seems more focused on throwing single big straight lefts rather than jabbing

He didn't cut Kovalev with his punches, one cut was caused by an accidental head clash, the other from an elbow.
