He reminds me so far of a Young tito trinidad at 147 who was a great boxer puncher even though the way they do it aren't exactly similar, who is undefeated and is bound to meet with a very decorated fighter in the future (Bradley) and won't be at 147 for much lunch because of his large physique making for a future super fight at 154 if canelo(Vargas) doesn't grow out the weight class. discuss

I'm a Thurman fan and all, but LMFAO at this comparison.

Tito was FAAAARRRRRRRRRR more talented than Thurman. It's not even remotely close.

Trinidad, Armstrong & SRL all have their cause to claim #2 ATG spot in the very deep historic Welterweight division. I rank Thurman as #1 Welterweight today, but he has to become Undisputed for me to rank him that high mainly, because Welterweight today is as weak as Armstrong era (who had to defend the title 18x to get that ATG legacy)...populated by old smaller guys fighting each other, in times of weakness an Undisputed championship is necessary ala Holyfield in Cruiserweight

To me, he looks like that mythical "if Roy Jones had more fundamentals" style. He's not Roy talent-wise obviously, but he's got a semi awkward style like Roy, but with a more grounded more fundamental technique.

Also, if he moves up soon, he's gonna get massacred... He doesn't look too big for the weight class in my opinion

Thurman has the talent, maturity and charisma to be a legit multi division star, but Tito was a world champion when he was still in diapers...no comparison.

agreed on the Haye comparison. Both have similar styles, both have power and KO a lot of guys, both are mixed race and have cane rows.
