Andre Ward not intimiated by Kovalev's power.

Dawson was shot when he fought Ward, not to mention drained also. However, I also believe that Ward would outbox Kovalev.

Froch and Dawson are both "A" list @ 168 and are leagues better than any of the TOMATO CANs the Krusher has crushed...

 

Even though Ward never faced an undefeated champion, his biggest wins are against a past prime Calslappy left over and Froch who had lost to Kessler, those guys were the best (except for Bute) of the division.

You can't deny Ward faced top notch guys. You can say he ducked Bute, you can say he only fights in his home town in front of his family, friends, judges, commission and pharmacist, you can say he drained Dawson, but you can't say that he didn't fight top guys!

 

Even Miranda is better than anyone Krusher has faced.

Not saying Kovalevs fought good opposition, but Ward hasn't faced anything close to an elite fighter either

Kovalev is a beast, but you'd have to back Ward.

Let's not forget he won his gold medal up at 175 so I think he'd be able to hold the weight.

Ward can box long, mid rand and is superb up close... if one plan isn't working against Kovalev he can switch it.

 

Dawson atsch he was always gun shy and thrown a little always Kovalev beats him for sure.
I would favor Ward over him 60/40 i would say but its not easy by any means, i think Ward would be to fast.

Red colored in 95% of the time means jack ****, Cleverly was undefeated "champion" and that win is far worse than win over Kessler and Froch, 0 doesnt make fighter great its who he faced and beat, sick of padded records.

 

I must admit i have not seen a lot of Kovalev (maybe his last 5 fights), but i must say i am pretty confident that Ward would beat him.

Kovalez seems to me to be a bit of a plodder, doesn't have amazing hand speed, and while he can adapt, is no where near as versatile as ward.

IMO the only area that he beats ward is power.

Also i am always impressed and interested in what Ward has to say, and i agree with him yet again.
