I'd say naz and haye p4p, I know haye isnt very popular anymore but he was a natural cruiser and made valuev do the chicken dance, he hit seriously hard for his size.

Haye might have hit about as hard as Hide.
Haye is a big guy though. 210 - 220 pounds. Same range as guys like Liston and Tyson. I think they were far more proven as punchers.

Even Ali looked like a puncher against washed-up guys like Cleveland Williams etc., so it's hard to say how much of a puncher Haye was at heavyweight, he fought such decrepit opponents.

On historical stats you'd say Wilde, That i have seen Benn was a murderous puncher the hardest hitting SMW ever IMO.

    Agree with you on Wilde.

Benn the hardest punching UK fighter of his generation bar none for me.

Benn was fun, but his punch power was not devastating. In the early period of his career he was just a wild swinger. When he stepped up to the top level he soon learnt he needed to improve his boxing because his power was 'merely' fair.

I would say in this era arguably the biggest pure puncher from the UK was Ensley Bingham. He fought prime 'Winky' Wright with many so called experts suggesting the left hook was going to get the job done, it was that threatening.

I'm paraphrasing here because I cant remember which post fight interview this was from but Naz said:

"I'm not into making predictions gary but I knew a stretcher was gonna be involved (in this fight) somehow".

It's hard to think of a fighter who hit HARDER p4p. Something to do with him having legs like tree trunks.

And the fact he literally put his whole body weight behind the punch. Which at times also left him exposed.
