It was more the size of the guys he fought. Morgan, Malinga, Galvano, Piper and Gent had all fought most of their careers at light-heavy/cruiser - and Benn could still make middle comfortably (so he said). Eubank, Watson and Collins made him look tiny. Huge guys! Against Wharton and Giminez, both concrete-chinned, he focussed on his boxing and countering more.

He took Barkley off his feet three times in under three minutes and was the only man to take out Robbie Sims. He punched DeWitt all over the ring for eight rounds who stood strong with Tommy Hearns and Matthew Hilton.

Naz had amazing punching power. He literally used his entire body to deliver his hay-makers. He was gifted physically.

He beat a one eyed Barkley in a wild brawl that could of gone either way but for the three knockdown rule. DeWitt did not have the respect for Benn that he had for Tommy's right hand. Hilton was sliding fast when he fought DeWitt, and still almost pulled it off.

The massive punchers of boxing history tended to get the job done no matter the size of their opponent. Benn was electric flattening the Journeyman on the way up on Seconds Out, but his KO record at world level suggests he was a respected but not a devastating puncher.

in fact, Lou 'English Rocky' Gent had been in with heavyweights who couldn't get him over and Benn still dropped him four or five times.
