Wilder's chin really is glass though like Amir Khan type glass watch his amateur fights their is no inbetween with his chin it's terrible . To the question yes it will be his undoing at the top level.

How on earth could you make him the favorite over Pulev, Perez, Stiverne, Povetkin, Chisora, Chagaev or Helenius when they are all proven world level fighters with iron chins.

To be fair, if Wilder was to step in with any of them I reckon the bookies would have him down as the favourite.

Srs? he's completely unknown in the UK?

I consider myself a big fan, especially the higher weights and I only first heard about him this time last year.

Well no disrespect but you can't be that big of a fan if you only heard of Deontay Wilder last year?

He was the only Yank to medal at the Beijing Olympics for a start.

He's being hyped up big time in the states, there's been talk about him v both Price, Fury and Chisora... more so Fury.

Haye had him over here for sparring.

Also, he bombed Fraudley out in 1 round on the Amir Khan undercard... Khan is a big name over here so I imagine big numbers of UK fans seen him do that.

    :lol::lol::lol: hilarious trolling!!

I did ask unbiased opinions on Wilder away from the american general forum you know so why did you post... it's quite clear you are DESPERATE for Wilder to do well

Perez, Adamek, Glazkov, and Thompson all have solid chins, he wouldn't be knocking them out the way he has done with the very poor opposition he has fought. They'd all knock Wilder out. Fury has a better chin than Wilder!!! It's like you are trying to deny Wilder's flaws... glass chin, balance issues, lack of amateur pedrigree, poor technical boxing skills. completely one dimensial.

Heavyweight is a good division, not the best but certainly not the worst, it has the hardest division to become a world champion because of the elite Klistchko's, no poor fighter like Lamont peterson could have become a world champion at heavyweight, look at the top 4 at heavyweight - Klitschko, Pulev, Povetkin, Glazkov, look at their exceptional amateur records. The top 4 in crap divisions like lightweight and super featherweight just don't compare and you know that.

You seem quite angry over this.

In my opinion he would beat those fighters. Will he? We will see hopefully in due cause. I watched the scott fight, and yes it looked like he could of got up, but I don't think he wanted too. It is more likely he felt Wilders undeniable power, and quit, rather than was payed to do so. Scott had only lost one highly controversial fight up untill that point. He is abit of a laughing stock now because of it, so if he did get payed, I hope it was worth it because his earning power has diminished considerably.

Wilders resume is poor, he has been carefully matched to look very impressive, we all know this.

It doesn't change the fact that I think when the time comes and he steps up (Discounting the whole conspiracy with malik scott, if he does that to fury is he payed as well?), he will deliver. He isn't unbeatable by any stretch of the imagination, but neither are they.

I would much rather a division where all the fighters (except wlad) have question marks over them, because it makes for exciting fights.

It is all about balance, I don't hate the guy, don't think he is amazing, merely think he is the best of the challengers, which is a mediocre bunch for the most part.

By the end of the year he will be either world champion or you will be proved right :D

How can Glazkov be top 4 at HW when he just got schooled by Malik Scott, who went on to be destroyed by Wilder in a round? :huh

Did you come to the british forum for unbiased opinion or to find people to agree with you? I disagree, deal with it

He has many flaws, like I have said i'm not really a big fan of his. :blood

All the fighters you have mentioned are better than the guys he has been fighting, they have ok chins (Except Fury, his is abit suspect) and they are less likely to be bombed out as quickly, that is why they are at the top end of the division, makes sense no? Wilder has that holy grail of heavyweight boxing, one punch KO power, which certainly gives him a chance.

Amateur records don't matter in the professional fight game, it helps certainly, but did lomanchenko win, based on his truly exceptional amateur record? No. It helps but isn't a prerequisite.

Look, you don't like Wilder, I get it. You think he is a hype job etc, and who knows he might be. I personally don't think he is, have no vested interest to give anything other than my own opinion on it, hell I would prefere Fury or Chisora to beat him being British and all.

Just chill out, in life people don't agree with you, doesn't mean they are deliberately 'trolling' you.

To cheer you up I have included a video clip of Wilder getting knocked down :thumbsup

fair enough... but no I was just looking for in the middle unbiased mature opinions... and you seemed in your other posts as if you were a massive Wilder fan who desperately wants an american heavyweight champ. And you seemed like the biased americans who try their best to minimize the heavyweight division just because all american heavyweights are average or poor, it's nowhere near as bad as a lot of the trolls on here make out. Tysons era for one was much worse, it was just americans versus americans then. I feel like the USA media try to bombard the world with their biased corrupted views in boxing, and some non americans fall for it and actually believe divisions with no americans at the top are poor and broner is p4p number 3 etc.

i think a fair assesment on Wilder is that he's a wild card... with that power he has, but his flaws mean he will be a failure.

I personally believe amateur records are very important... hence why the the likes of Andre Ward, Wladimir Klistchko, Gennady Golovkin, etc are doing so well.
