190 + pounds and that solid chin could put GGG on the backfoot. GGG has one big issue i.e he doesn't know very well how to fight on the backfoot. He has power and skills but he's just a small-ish MW unlike Jr who's a natural LHW. How this fight will go round-by-round ? I'm very interested to here IB's opinion !
Golovkin can fight on the backfoot. I think Chavez Jr is the one who can't. In the first couple of rounds both will trading punches maybe Chavez jr walks forward but Golovkin will be in the better position to land the cleaner an bigger punches and block more punches than Chavev jr. During round 6 or 7 Chavez get's hurt and will try to fight more defensively but Chavez ist the one who doesn't fight well on the backfoot. Golovkin stalkes him now. The fight might get stopped due huge cuts or swellings on Chavez face at round 10-11 because Golovkin will land nearly everything at that point
Andy Lee was doing very well against Chavez Jr until Jr imposed his size advantage and took him apart. The only guy who succeeded to outbox very well Jr was Martinez excepting the last round. I expect to see GGG using a lot his footwork and outbox Jr. The big question is - how many rounds GGG will be able to box Jr cuz I'm sure that at some point Jr will close the gap and find GGG into that ring. People are saying that Jr wasn't able to drop Vera but styles make fights and Vera is pretty tough mofo with a good work rate.
chavez jr is gonna get a beating mo matter how much he weighs....putting on water weight after a weigh in does not turn him into a monster with power. it just makes him slower. GGG isnt a club fighter like Vera is.

Sometimes Golovkin will step back out of range when his opponent starts to land a few punches. I wonder why the opponent never seems to want to follow?
Anyone who thinks Golovkin's whole style is based on marching forward and cutting the ring off clearly hasn't seen enough of him. Before he got coached by Abel Sanchez (who wants him to put on the pipe-breaking pressure from the get-go) he was extra patient, fighting from the outside and was luring opponents into snapping countershots. Golovkin can change gears and style in a heartbeat, if he wants to. Chavez will bring out a little bit of the "old" Golovkin and get picked apart.
Chavez narrowly beat Vera 2nd time and lost to him the first time round. Chavez is a over hyped plodder. GGG will smash the **** out of Chavez. Vera landed consistent shots and all respect due he isn't a world beater.
They were both landing at will. Unless Chavez has not improved he will get beaten up. I know that if he comes in with and actual fight plan then he might have a chance.
