    Taylor still had some success afterwards. He had the 2nd best win of his career a year after the Chavez fight. It's not like it was the Chavez fight alone that gave him horrendous brain damage, it was all the punishment in numerous fights as well as the gym

    Moore indeed went downhill, it's sad what happened to him.

    The beating Trinidad gave Vargas was career-altering. Vargas looked poor against Rivera and okay against Flores. He actually looked pretty good against DLH, but ended up suffering another bad stoppage fight in another tough fight. Add the back issues to that and he went downhill pretty fast.

    David Reid did little of note after the Trinidad fight. Maybe his team was cashing out because of his eye issues.

    Donald Curry never seemed the same after the Lloyd Honeyghan fight.

    I think the loss to B-Hop had a big effect on Tito's desire and motivation. Same with Pavlik. Perhaps the one-sided loss made him depressed and made his alcohol abuse even worse?

    Most of the tough shots that Ali took against Foreman were to the body. Ali also took a horrendous beating to the body (and some hard hooks to the head) in Manila against Frazier.

    I think it was the first Mosley fight where he changed mentally. I remember Arum (when DLH was still with Top Rank) claiming that Oscar wasn't properly trained against Mosley, but that sounded like nonsense talk. DLH was in great shape and looked sharp. The problem was, so was Mosley, and DLH also didn't fight the smartest fight either.

    :lol::lol:

    It's kind of funny and shows the unpredictability of boxing that out of all the big punchers that Holyfield faced and the punishment he has taken, that John Ruiz of all people hurt him the most with one punch.

    Andre Ward is very much like Hopkins.

    Both make known punchers appear ordinary and skill-less.
    After they expose them, their victims lose a tremendous amount of confidence.

    Kessler has never been the same and post-Ward, even Froch was able to out-box him.

    :deal

    And Martinez vs Chavez Jr. Even though Martinez won, he gave it his all that must have taken a few years off his prime. Beating someone that big was not easy for him.
