I've never seen guys more on the verge of a KO hang on, to the point I was

shocked they even survived, than the following:

Holyfield vs Bowe, Holyfield was all but out in one rd receiving tremendous

punishment and somehow he turned it around and fought back.

Gatti vs Ward, Gatti gets hit with a liver shot takes a knee and gets up still

grimacing somehow survives and takes it to Ward in the same round

Kahn vs Maidana, Maidana gets dropped with a liver shot somehow gets up

and survives. I saw Hatton and DLH get hit the same shot and quit on their

    knees.

Bradley vs Provodnicov, Bradley absoulutely out on his feet somehow

    survives 12 rds

You can add Khan vs maidana round 10 to that list... Khan got caught with a big looping shot and was on ***** street for the whole round... Funny thing is just as he was getting smashed up on the ropes and you'd think his legs were going to give.... He'd turn in to jake lamotta and ask for more....crazy *******

I thought Broner was not going to make it vs Maidana.

Alvarado made it out of a round vs Provodnikov that I thought for sure he wouldn't make it out of.

Marquez looked like he was knocked out cold by Katsidis only to be woken up by the canvas  Yet he got up and won the fight.

Some good ones here already, surely Benn V McClellan is worth a mention, likewise Dempsey Firpo. I think the ultimate for me is The ol' mongoose Archie Moore V Ivan Durell. I think I've heard the post-fight quote from Archie somewhere:
" I felt like the top of my head was blown off. I walked the street of dreams."
Ha ha, one of those knockdowns that would probably see the fight stopped and the oxygen tank out these days (perhaps that's no bad thing...) but Archie fought back with instinctual skills, countering and moving in for the KO finish.

Obviously not a legendary fight like the others mentioned but after a round or two of Wlad vs Wach I thought 'this is going to be an early night'.

Archie Moore vs Yvon Durelle. Flush right hand, Moore stiffens and crashes to the canvas, his head bouncing hard off the canvas. Don't know how on earth he struggled up. Battered around the ring and dropped heavily again in the first, yet somehow survived.
