what you should question is why did oscar weigh in at 145 is he's really that dehydrated. that's about 1 liter of water.

    Pac-Margarito

Ruined both fighters. Both took a huge amount of punishment and both were never the same after.

    Margarito - Cotto.
Cotto covered in blood and cowering on one knee is one of the saddest sites I've ever seen in boxing.

Do people have to turn every thread into their stupid little Floyd-Manny argument? The fighters don't even care about proving their superiority over each other, but yet their fans are so adamant and passionate about it. If only the fighters actually were

The Maidana fight was when I really saw how horrendously flawed Khan is in so many areas. PEDerson was able to capitalize on it and win.

Meldrick Taylor's life and fight career was ruined after his fight with Julio Caesar Chavez.

People always say this. While his career might have been somewhat different, what really changes if he never fought Chavez?

He goes up to 147 due to problems making weight at 140. He still beats Aaron Davis, a good but unspectacular champ, for the WBA title. The division is still loaded or about to be loaded with talent. Pernell Whitaker, Simon Brown, Maurice Blocker, Cristano Espana, Ike Quartey, Felix Trinidad. Espana always would have been a horrendous style matchup for Taylor.

Taylor still is a modest puncher with a brawler mentality, and still probably takes too much punishment in fights and in Philly gym wars.

He'd probably fight at the top level for a little longer, his team doesn't shamelessly cash him out against Terry Norris at 150.5, but eventually things end up similar. A short time at the top level.

Roy Jones-John Ruiz. Roy won the fight easy but never the same once he boiled back down the LHW.

Well written, but I'm not buying it. Chavez truly punished him in their fight; it definitely made a difference in Meldrick's body in the long-run. Taylor would've kept that blinding speed, and brain, if he had not brawled with Chavez.
