Nah man... Everyone knows if Arreola can stop weeping for a bit, he might have a chance at knocking Wilder out.

Arreola can experience his first clear KO loss, cause Wilder will not allow him to have doubts :smoke

A lot of old timers I know rate Ron Lyle as a bigger puncher in a raw sense. Thoughts people?

George Foreman and Joe Frazier ducked him. Foreman even admitted it to Earnie's face.

The hardest punchers are always ducked (see Kovalev ducked by Stevenson, and Golovkin ducked by Martinez).

Only when said punchers are also good fighters, and not borderline bums like Shavers

Shavers was KO'd by Quarry in the 1st round. He connected pretty good on Jerry and Jerry didn't go down
Shavers had good power-but like someone said- mostly against cruiserweights
Foreman is full of you know what

    Sam Langford.

He began as a Light/Welterweight and carried deadly one shot power all the way to HW. He KOed highly regarded and feared HW contender 6'2 220 lb Harry Willis while giving up over 30 lbs and 6 inches in height.

What CWs? Norton, Bugner, and Clark were genuine big HWs.

What people are missing is that when you get ko you don't remember the feeling of the punch. But when some one clips you right where it mkes you feel sick and you quite can't get your head round WTF just happened them shots sty with you and that is what they are refering to when they say he is the hardest punched they ever faced

Show me the bodies? Where are the savage KO's of even B level fighters? There are none. Young was a good scalp for him. Past that he didn't KO anyone worth a crap that had a decent Chin. Norton had a Glass Jaw and he was KOed early several times.

Legit Savage punchers can KO anyone they face not just the C and D level fighters they face. Anyone can KO bums. I want to see the evidence of KO's against top fighters he faced. He lost to just about every single one of them. And to top it off many people were able to get off the canvas and beat him. If he was such a savage puncher that would not be the case people would be out cold.

With such standards, you could argue nobody was really a hard puncher.

Norton had only been KOed early by George ****ing Foreman prior to Shavers. Garcia mauled him for 8 rounds and Norton dominated him in the rematch. Norton ate everything Holmes and Ali threw at him, and they both had underrated power, Holmes especially had KO power in his uppercut.

Bugner had a great chin. He went the distance with Frazier, Ali, and Lyle. Shavers destroyed him in 2 rounds. Clark had a good chin too.

Ellis had a good chin and defense, and he was no b level fighter.

Well Shavers himself rates Lyle along with himself and Foreman as a puncher, if thats any good.

Not Quarry, he weighed in close to cruiser-weight 195 lbs
    Norton had a glass jaw
Bugner was a good KO, but a defensive bum.
It's clear Shavers wasn't as devastating as Ali, George Foreman and Joe Frazier said he was.
Something was going on with that-maybe they were trying to help him
with hyping his fights for a bigger purse.
Actually, I think Holmes rated Cooney as the hardest puncher he'd ever faced.

Quarry beat Shavers and many other top HWs that were much bigger than him.

I've argued Norton's jaw was not glass. And at 6'3" and 225 lbs he was not a CW.

Bugner was a durable fighter and certainly not a CW at 6'4" 245 lbs. And Clark at 6'3" 225 was not a cruiser either.

You made a stupid comment you can't back up, deal with it. Shavers was effective against more than CWs.

    No, its not clear.

Watching Ali get knocked goofy and grimacing every time Shavers partially landed, I'm inclined to believe the man hit him very hard.
