Two of the three judges decided to go for a high amount of missed slaps as opposed to a low amount of actual landed punches. The result was highly contentious, just look at Enzo in Joe's corner towards the end of the fight and Joe and Enzo's faces when the results were read out.
Fact: Calzaghe was by far better in the punch stat category and was actually limiting Hopkins' output for the majority of the fight. He spoiled Hopkins' boxing and made him tired as hell. Calzaghe was the general the fight and clearly won.
kovalev could go back to ko'ing everyone in the first few rounds, and become the best thing since slice bread again.
wow, dont know bout calz beating kov. tall tall tall order but IF anyone could hang with him its JOE C. his speed and toughness are phukin crazy, this is the ONLY fight i doubt cal in
It's blatantly obvious Joe won, stop being dumb. Joe outpunched him Joe outfoxed him Joe had him faking an injury Joe made Hopkins panting for breath in the later rounds.
If he won let's score the fight someone put the 1st rd on and let's get this cracking bigger robbery then froch vs dirrel
Let's not, no one wants to watch that scrap again. We've all had to sit through 12 brutal rounds of it already and we scored that fight once and probably won't do it again. If you want to do it, go ahead and post a thread about it. You'll just be called a moron. Go watch it in slow mo too while you're at it.
I think it is a bit early to do mythical match-ups with any of the current crop of LHW titlist but if you do it is fitting that you do so against one of the weakest ever to be fair. Joe lasts a little longer than Cleverly, perhaps 8 rounds
