It's the same every week in this country, the first fight was allowed to go on when a guy who'd been KOd 12 days previous was forced to go an extra rd, never mind him also being 45yrs...... That last fight the guy was knocked down but it wasn't a knock out and the ref stopped it after going less then 2 mins
So Tuivasa, the guy with 1 fight to his name prior to tonight, into the final against the experienced Mick Kirby.
Has Lenny zap gone down hill? or has he always been this ****? ...how did he get a title shot fighting like this.
Yeah, it was pretty good little war there, both guys busted up early on. Just ended with Shuhei's corner throwing in the towel after a pretty bad knockdown.
Good night's entertainment IMO. Challenge to make sure results as they happened are in correct order in guy's record kept me busy & off the **** unlike UK Prizefighter, where winner of the tournament last fight was Quarter final, then Semi followed by Final
Congratulations to Mick Kirby, I didn't get to watch it but no matter how he fought, Mick is a genuine Champion Bloke who was risking more than many people know just so he could get a deposit to get his family a new house & a better start in life. This will be it for him as the only title he ever wanted was the Australian Title, now all he wants to do is be a champion Dad, full respect to him & he has done it primarily on his own, I was lucky to have been involved with his Australian Title fight which allowed me to see the person he is & I'm glad Terry Devlin was there to help him win this tournament tonight as he is someone who was prepared to be there for Mick & not for his own sake. Whether you think the event was good or bad at least Brian Amatruda & Barry Michael were prepared to give some Aussies a chance to make something out of boxing tonight, well done, Birchy
