There are several American heavyweight in action this week.

Tonight on Fox we'll see Monte Barrett vs. Luis Ortiz and Gerald Washington vs. Skip Scott. Also on the card are former US Olympian Dominic Breazeale vs. Nagy Aguilera, US Olympian Michael Hunter vs. Rodney Hernandez and undefeated Stephan Shaw vs. Kevin Howard.

Tomorrow on NBC sports, we'll see Amir Mansour vs. Steve Cunningham.

And Joey Dawejko is rumored to be fighting Kubrat Pulev on Saturday.

man, joey why you rushing so much?

barrett hasnt fought in 2 years. i wonder how much rust he will have?

i think gerald is developing nicely as long as they dont rush him

breazeale needs a lot of work

hunter was caught in the past for steroids

amir and steve should be a good scrap. if cunningham comes in shape, he takes this

A loss to Pulev at this point isn't a huge setback for Dawejko. and yeah USS should easily handle Monsour....hell, Id take Jpnathan Banks to beat Monsour and USS is faar better.

Washington should take the inactive Scott and I wouldn't worry bout Barrett... ..he's been in this position a dozen times and unless Ortiz is special, Barrett should be in this fight throughout.
I disagree about Brazeale....I think he's coming along fine.

Surely at least one of the three up-and-comers on tonight's card Washington, Hunter and Breazeale will become a top ten contender by 2016.

Luis Ortiz is the most protected HW in boxing, even more so than Deontay Wilder.

I don't know how he managed to get such a high ranking with the WBA, fighting opponents Jose Santos Peralta (1-2), Joseph Rabotte (11-25, coming off 9 straight losses) Juan Carlos Antonio Maldonado (pro debut).

Monte Barrett is old and shot, but he's probably Ortiz' best opponent to date. I hope Monte wins tonight.

im more looking forward to mansour/uss fight.
i think amir mansour even tho hes up there in age like uss.
i feel the age factor i see alot in uss in his previous fights.
mansour at the moment is more hungry.
and im assuming nbc sports is connected wit hbo
cuz all the winning fighters on nbc sport seems to get promoted to hbo

    kovalev
    stevens
    jennings

so if mansour wins maybe they will mention him in a possibilty to fight the winner of perez/jennings or winner or ruiz jr/rossy fight. or winer of barret/ortiz fight tonite.

    yeah, for sure.

If Monsour wins, they'll feed him to Ruiz Jr who will lay him spark out.
If USS wins, they'll make Adamek 3, a natural $$$ maker for both guys with the winner getting a shot at the fake WBA title early next yr.

Ruiz might have to fight Glaskov, which probably doesnt work in Main Events best interest. Im not positive, but I think they recently lost Jennings, and both Glaksov and Ruiz fight under their banner.
Monsour is disposable. He's vastly overrated, and he's an old dog. He'll lose to Cunningham then mayeb they'll feed him to a better prepared Rodriguez....maybe they ca salvage his career and make some money marketing his comeback.:think
