Round 1

Washington is landing the jab at long-range as Scott dances around him. Scott dives in and tries holding with a few distracting flurry motions up top but is caught by a right hand on the back of the head and wobbles. Scott jumps in flailing again, now successfully grabbing Washington. Long push-out jab by Washington turned sideways, crabbing in on Scott and getting blocked as Scott backs up. Scott waves his left glove out a few inches from his face. Washington rushes in and Scott hoops the left arm around Washington's throat and tosses him into a corner, Washington nearly going down. They circle and measure with jabs in the air.

Round 2

Washington is waiting on the outside, hoping to counter when Scott comes in. Scott refuses to come in, hesitantly circling wide and holding out both arms, turned outward. Scott tries clinching and Washington nails him with a counter right cross and bangs the body. Scott goes to his knees and is hit while down with a big uppercut on the chest. Scott is given a count and complains about the late hit, but finds no sympathy from Lou Moret.
