    Rafael is a late sub for Andrei Isaeu.

    The vacant WBO European featherweight title is no longer at stake.

    This has become just a stay-busy date for McCullough, so as to not waste a training camp.

    Rafael has suffered 22 knockouts...which actually is somewhat respectable given his 79 losses or having fought 108 times. :think

    McCullough is throwing uppercuts with both hands, clapping Rafael behind either ear. Rafael drops his face down past his wrists, gloves squeezed together but doing nothing to keep out McCullough's thudding blows. Rafael is leaning back, legs splayed as he drifts away from McCullough until slinging himself forward to flop into a clinch. Body shots by McCullough.

    McCullough is throwing single jabs and then reeling in to start anew with long 1-2-1-2 flurries while standing out beyond the reach of Rafael. McCullough is leading with right hands on the face and causing Rafael to dive in and hold. McCullough greets him with uppercuts, snapping Rafael's head upward. Rafael is encasing his entire head between his arms leaning forward, pushing a light right jab out at McCullough's chest. Rafael drops his arms and darts in and out playfully - and pays. Body shot by McCullough drops him. Ten seconds left to go. Swatting right hand by McCullough. Wrist-flick facial flurry by McCullough.

    McCullough is scoring with lead uppercuts from outside and hard rights on the body. Rafael holds desperately until forced to let go by the ref. 1-2s by McCullough, arms pumping over the back of Rafael's neck as he leans forward trying to clinch. McCullough clubs down at him as Rafael shrimps. The ref gets between them, waving it off.
