I hate all this talk about Kirkland vs middleweights. James is a 154lb fighter when hes in the shape that he should be in.... his match maker better remember that. They can kiss their brand goodbye if they start matching him with top middleweights. James has a real shot to make waves at 154 (his choice of promoter hurts him though) and they will be flushing all that down the toilet by fighting guys he shouldn't be fighting.

He fought like a more technically sound and polished version of Bika.

He did look out on his feet and the way his upperbody fell forward when against the ropes made it look like Taylor against Froch. The ref could have let it go a bit longer but he would have been knocked out cold, i'v seen better and worse.

It was stopped at the right time, we don't need another Abdulasamov tragedy on our hands

True, but remember prior to his run-in with Ishida, but after release from prison, how both of his comeback fights were over the MW limit?

You had people on here saying he was a natural super middle and should be targeting the Super Six winner. :yep

So people calling him a mere 160lber is actually nothing, it gets much wackier.
