A few on the 'Burns next opponent' thread are wondering if you are to split with Ricky Burns.

 

It is totally irrelevant to say that 12 seconds or whatever had elapsed. A boxer that's had his brain scrambled cannot be expected to know how long he's been down for, he's relying on the referee's count to let him know how long he has left to get up.

 

If a man in his 50th fight had his 'brain scrambled' to the point where he didn't know the ref was getting towards 10, then he had no business continuing in the fight anyway.

That's 100% correct in this fight but it might make a difference in another fight. It should be a clear even 10 seconds.

I was convinced in the Chisora vs Mallick Scott that Scott was intending to get up at 10. Scott must have thought it was "10 and out".

I wonder how well known the count rule actually is.
Strange that such a basic rule isn't categorically clear.

Yes I also have negative views about the poor value Boxnation Channel and it is an opinion that ex customers are entitled to share.

I have also been critical of some of the Eddie Hearn bouts and do rate Billy Nelson highly after steering Ricky Burns through to the end of the Beltran fight.

People have different opinions and if it upsets you reading posts, then I suggest you switch off computer. put on your slippers, light up pipe and cool off with a long walk around your garden.
