After the epic first poll fight which ended in a controversial draw, there needs to be a rematch to settle this matter. This time the poll will be public and will close in 7 days from now on out.

    Here are the rules:

    • Best of three fights
    • 12 rounds
    • 20 x 20 ring
    • 10 ounce gloves

Boxers and their camp are given extensive footage of their opponent and have a week to prepare a game plan.
Boxers are in peak physical and mental condition in their absolute prime.
After each fight, the fighters are magically restored to their pre-fight condition, but retain full knowledge of what they learned from their opponent and have another week to prepare a revised game plan.

Already has been decided, Lennox Lewis wins through higher seeding.

This thread is not part of the tournament, this is THE REMATCH.

This has no affect on the tournament whatsoever.

This is the first match up thread:-

There are no "seeds" in a boxing match.

If you are referring to team sports which have seedings in the playoffs, then you would be in favor of a "re-match" in these circumstances, as when two teams are tied at the end of regulation, they engage in an additional "overtime" stanza.

It's a boxing tournament, so the tournament entrants have seedings. I thought about a one day sudden death poll, like the one the OP is running, but that would push the whole tournament back a day, and I wanted the finals to start at the same time as Pacquiao-Bradley, when ESB is at its busiest.

Several weeks back, when I started the tournament, I created a seeding thread where I asked, "Who do you consider the Top 10 head-to-head heavyweights of all time? Not the greatest, but the most formidable in actual combat".

Posters posted their top 10 in order, and after a week, I collected and scored the results. The two scoring criteria were frequency of mention and place of mention. Each #1 vote got 10 points, a #2 vote got 9 points, etc. I then calculated the final scores and the 16 highest scores made the Sweet Sixteen.

Don't think there will be as many participants in this poll as there were in the other one

Lewis wins if it goes to the scorecards. I'm just not 100% sure the fight sees 2:59 of the 12th round...

Well Lewis is one of the absolute best ever in the heavyweight division and is one of the best boxers of all time aswell.

So I favour Lewis in this one.

LL would win if he could keep at long range the whole fight but Big George is as tough as he is powerful and would catch up to him. very tough fight to predict but my first instinct says George so thats who I am going with . . . BTW I did not vote the first go round
