Was checking out another boxing site the other day and an interesting comment stuck out to me, did Bradley just discreetly duck the entire WW/JWW division by resigning with Top Rank. We all know about the promotional wars so assuming Bradley gets by Pacquiao this weekend they're looking at names like Alvarado, Marquez rematch, Rios, M.Garcia, & a Provodnikov rematch even a Kalibib

Marquez & Pacquiao are high profile names but both have shown their time at the elite level is ending if not over already, M.Garcia is a good SFW, Alvarado/Rios at this point are glorified bums and Provodnikov is famous for rocking Bradley in a loss.

I respect Bradley he's consistently fought tough comp but he did duck Kahn of all people a few years back and by resigning he's basically made it so he can't fight and or is Protected from guys like Porter, D.Garcia, Kahn, Mayweather, Matthysse, Broner, Maidana, Thurman and pretty much every champ and titlist between 140-154. I had to think about it for awhile but its actually an interesting question all of the real champs and tough fights are at GBP currently.

He was pressured by Mayweather and Arum to renew his contract so Ducky could avoid him till retirement. Rumour has it that Ducky paid Bradley 20 Million dollars to resign with Top Rank.

I feel like Pacquiao, even now until I have a reason to believe otherwise, is still tougher than everyone of those fighters other than Floyd and MAYBE Thurman (remains to be seen with Thurman).

Everyone else Bradley would school to pieces...

Does anyone know the details to their contract?

Rumor has it you guys are all obsessive losers... Can u go a single thread without this BS?

Why am I asking, of course not, cause that would take actual boxing knowledge, and avoid being surgically attached to ur favorite fighters scrotum...

I'm personally not sold that Pacquiao is still a top guy in the division if he beats Bradley on Sat I have no problem eating my words but I think Bradley takes the rematch, I also feel there are a few fighters that can give Pacquiao problems, as far as opposition though it wouldn't surprise me if Bradley could take out the fighters I mentioned but that's why they fight the fights and winning a rematch vs a 40+ yr old Marquez and any combo of Rios/MA/Ruslan doesn't prove Bradley as being a top Welter I like Bradley but his WW rating is based on him beating Pac mainly if you think he got dominated then that takes away his biggest claim at being top 2/3 at WW/P4P and fighting the Welters at TR won't boost his rating

Speaking objectively as a fan of the sport Bradley-Pacquiao II is a good matchup but by resigning with top rank instead of
Bradley vs D.Garcia (undisputed JWW Champ*) Thurman/Maidana (WBA Interim/regular Champ), Porter (IBF Champ) an so on we'll probably get
Bradley vs Alvarado/Marquez II, Rios, M.Garcia it wouldn't be a shock if Bradley remained unbeaten vs all but from a competitive stand point one route is clearly better than the other ducking maybe to strong of a word but you understand the general sense.

Pac hasnt resgined but theres whispers he is.

Unless both push Arum and TR to stop the cold war **** ( Bradley will, Pac wont as seen from him the last few years) Then both of there careers are **** for awhile. Luckliy Bradley is only 30. he can fight with TR for 2 more years then fight Mayweather before Mayweather retires.

For Pac hes pretty much done. theres nobody at all he can fight that will create any buxx at TR. Him fighting Thurman, Matthysse, Garcia, broner all would create Buzz

I disagree he wasn't the same fighter after he found god Bradley is right he lost his killer instinct be that in the ring and training and lifestyle.

Why isn't there demand or talk of Bradley vs Mayweather then ?

I'm of the opinion that great fighters have more than just 1/2 years as a top fighter so the younger guys if they are what we think will still be there Pacquiao is 35 if he decides he's had enough "tough" fights and just looks for paydays from here on out that's cool he'll go down as a HOF/ATG anyway, just don't claim to be a top fighter/P4P while doing so. My focus was mainly on Bradley though because he has a number of years left while Pacquiao is at the end.
People see Mayweather's name and automatically go into fan or foe mode its more fights out there than Mayweather-Bradley that potentially won't happen due to the 2 year extention TR has the tools to build stars while GB have the fighters to build HOFers

The word "duck" is getting abused on this forum. Bradley is still young. He has a very good resume...two possibly big paydays in rematches with Pac and Marquez. He can move away from Arum later when things dry up.

Duck is probably a strong word, I agree Bradley just based off resume has an argument to be HOF now, the Pac fight is this week so should he win which isn't definite but highly likely to happen, after that then what I think Marquez did better than most vs Bradley mainly in the second half of the fight but he lost clearly and is 41/42 everyone isn't Hopkins , Alvarado isn't top in any division I know of and just lost to Provodnikov, I honestly don't know who Kalibib is at JWW you'd have to school me on him, Garcia is a good name just three divisions below and not the Garcia he should be facing or Herrera a guy who beat Provodnikov(close fight).

In the past he avoided Khan like plague for sure.

He's probably ducking other fighters as well, the provodnokov fight was considered a total mismatch till the day before the fight.

But one thing is sure, he isn't ducking maynever more than maynever is ducking him, oh no.
