duran didnt beat any ATG at 135.. his only atg win was ray leonard and he quit in the rematch.

duran all smoke and mirrors. great lightweight, good welterweight, average jmw, average middleweight.

can any of you duran dead heads tell me how this equates to a top ten all time great ranking.

he was beaten by a decent lightweight in de jesus,he avenged it twice,he never fought any other elite fighter at lightweight.he beat a leonard that was so far from his best its unreal and when he did fight to the best of his ability duran couldnt lay a glove on him.no fighter in the top 10 all time would be humiated so badly by another fighter and actually quit at the end of it,he never beat an elite fighter after his fight with leonard, comparisons with hatton arent that far off the mark

Do you even know what the scorecard was when the fight was stopped?

If you don't then STFU, if you do, then post it.

Buchanan beat 2 hall of famers. He got in the hall for the consistent level of quality he faced on the road as well as the nature of his biggest win. As I said there is better era's, deeper in talent and if you knew what you were looking at you would realise that. You see Floyd beating guy's like Victor Ortiz in world title fights. He would be nothing but a warm up fight in Buchanans era. The second greatest lightweight era in boxing history :deal

Fat Duran quite because he couldn't be arsed. Poor Ray has never been able to live down the fact he never got to beat Duran properly. Duran stole his moment of glory by saying ''**** this clown''. Ray couldn't get proper revenge against the man who made him **** blood in Montreal and it hurts him as evident in 30 for 30 :yep :deal

I do agree Duran should be ranked 4th out of the fab 4.....Hearns had the best overall career out all 4 of them and was the most successful after WW....and he was also more dynamic than the other 3..... he had a level of consistency and dominace that SRL, Duran, and Hagler lacked...

Power does not mean you will win fights junior..Duran would have quit once he realizes that he could not hit the target..Duran lost to guys that were weaker than him.

Well either the whole boxing community how have seen these guys are wrong or you are.. There's a website where boxing historians reside and they rate the elite boxers who have come and gone for the ages..and they rate Duran in the top 10.

For ****s sake, grow up and learn the sport rather than making a complete ass of yourself.

Most rate the fab 4 on a P4P basis as follows:

    1. Duran
    2. SRL
    3. Hagler
    4. Hearns

Duran did beat Barkley who beat Hearns twice so that probably helps, he also went the distance with Hagler, something Hearns never did, and he beat SRL, again something Hearns never did. This is from a guy who's best weight was at 135 and he may have been the best 135 ever before moving up to accomplish these things. I can't think of anything Hearns did that surpasses this, but I'm all ears.

actually if anything the opposite is true. Moore and especially Barkley hit way harder than Duran and yet he beat both. Barkley hit hard enough to stop Hearns.
