I rate Duran in the top 5 of all time. I'd say at his absolute very best he was probably the best fighter we've actually seen on tape. But it wasn't always at his best and that does lower his ranking. I know Greb, Langford, Armstrong are usually rated higher, but I haven't actually seen them fight, so I'm forced to accept the opinion of those who have. But I have no problem rating SRR ahead of him, Ali is a close call, but honestly I think Duran is a far better fighter technically than Ali was.
Listen you cum stain. Yes I'm well aware of those stupid ignorant lists put together by people who know **** about boxing. The reason some dolts list Nunn actually has nothing to do with Nunn winning a lineal championship. It has to do with something that happened decades later. In 1993 Hopkins won the vacant IBF title. A the time no one considered Hopkins the lineal champ. The IBF title was rightly considered a joke. Then in 2001 when Hopkins shocked the world by winning the Middleweight tournament he became the undisputed and lineal champ of the division. Now what ****ed up some lists written by stupid people is that the didn't make Hopkins the lineal champ in 2001 but went retroactively back to 1993. Which somehow made these dumb shits think that the IBF title was the lineal title. Yes I've seen the stupidity. And you know they are stupid when you read what they say about how Nunn became champ. They say the same stupid **** you said because they are as big of dumbasses as you that dont know **** about boxing or boxing history. They say that Nunn won it after Leonard vacated. Of course smart people like me not total dumbshits like you know that Leonard never vacated the IBF title because Leonard never won the IBF title. Hagler vacated the IBF title before his fight with Leonard because the IBF didn't want him fighting Leonard. He also vacated the WBA title for the same reason. That made the WBC title Haglers only title and the only legitimate lineal title in the division. Leonard vs. Hagler was for the WBC title. Leonard won the WBC title you ****ing dumb piece of **** not the IBF title. Leonard vacated the WBC title. Hearns won the WBC title after Leonard vacated, making Hearns hte lineal champ. That means Duran was the lineal champ. Consider yourself school you worthless piece of ****!
I've got him at #6 in my all-time list; Ray Robinson Sam Langford Harry Greb Henry Armstrong Ezzard Charles Roberto Duran Willie Pep Muhammad Ali Benny Leonard Micky Walker
Proof? I gave you the ****ing proof cum stain. Hagler v. Leonard was for the WBC title and only the WBC title. Hagler had vacated both the IBF and WBA titles. Leonard won and then vacated the WBC title when he retired. Hearns won the WBC title. This makes Hearns the lineal champ. Face it you lost you worthless piece of ****. Your dad should have pulled out and shot you all over you moms face. The world would be a better place if he had.
All you have provided me with is your worthless opinion. Surely you can provide one cite that lists Duran as a lineal middleweight champ if you are correct. I don't deal with losers in life or over the computer. I am through with you but seriously, you seem to have self-esteem problems.
Surely you can post to an actual legitimate list. Oh that's right you cant because there is no such thing as an official list. Just something some guy put up on the internet. The Ring would be the most credible but the ring doesn't list any including Nunn because of all the **** that happened with the WBA and IBF trying to stop the Hagler-Leondard fight. Hagler was the WBC champ. He lost to Leonard. Leonard retired and vacated the WBC belt. Hearns won the vacated WBC belt. He lost to Barkley in an upset. Duran beat Barkley for the WBC belt.
P4p it's an easy argument to say Duran is the greatest of all time Above Ray Robinson and greb even The man was a complete boxer, when motivated If James toney was motivated he could have been as good or even better than Duran
