He'll have to squeeze a WBA top 5 in there somewhere since there is no minor titlist to save him from worthless defenses.:yep
The WBO has gained credibility. I think it's because if you have the title, you are recognized by the other organizations as a champion, hence you can't be ranked.
Wlad makes it to 20 defenses and retires. Anyone who think he's retiring in a fight or two is nuts. He's not going anywhere.
Danny Garcia is a WBA/WBC unified champ. Mayweather is about to unify WBC belts in two different divisions. Stevenson will be taking his WBC belt into a unification fight later this year. None of those guys are Mexican. The anti unification stance was never an official rule and seemed to be a pet peeve of Jose Suiliman. He's dead now, so I don't know if the unofficial stance will continue.
All the WBC cares about is $$$$$$ and there is too much money at stake for a Wlad fight vs whoever ends up with the WBC belt for them to not let that happen.
Your right the WBO does not count. The WBO belt does not mean all that much and it is not a major belt. Thats why it is pathetic he is using the WBO as a excuse to fight (wrestle) yet another bum Leapai.
It better not. It was a terrible rule in the first place and it's ridiculous that Bradley had to give up one of his unified titles while Garcia gets to hold on to it. It was a dumb rule designed to give an "official" excuse for favoritism and more motivation for fighters/promoters to bribe the organization into not enforcing it, and Sillyman was a twat for instituting it. The ol' stance wasn't that you couldn't fight a unification fight; it's that you couldn't keep both belts once you had one. Wlad will be able to fight for it. Will he be allowed to keep it? Different story.
He didn't. He clinched more than he boxed. Its on record. Me and derrick were right from the get go. He cheated his way out of a boxing match and now he can't even sell out in Germany:rofl
