Very true. If it isn't Floyd, PAC, the Klits or the next EE flavor of the month most are clueless and just go running to boxrec. :patsch

Post Chavez, he'd probably get past a few guys but he'd lose to Khan, Maidana, Ortiz, and pretty much any talented fighter at the weight

Pre-Chavez, I'd say just the opposite. Khan would still give him trouble, but he'd beat just about everyone else no problem, expect maybe Maidan/Provo/Matthysse cause they hit hard, and he'd be there to hit

history forum guys, after all thats what meldrick is right? As for him beating floyd, thats laughable in my opinion. What does he offer apart from handspeed?

This is EXACTLY where the lack of knowledge on the general forum shows up.

Taylor gave one of his most impressive performances POST-Chavez, when he schooled Aaron Davis. But I'm sure no one on here even knows who Aaron Davis is.

Taylor would have to be COMPELTELY, and utterly SHOT to lose to bums like Khan, Maidana, and Ortiz.

Even the post-Chavez Taylor was leagues above those 3.

The general forum is truly a joke. Bunch of know-nothings on here.

The idea of Taylor beating Floyd at 140 is FAR from laughable. Who did Floyd beat at 140 to suggest he'd have an easy time with Taylor. Oh, Gatti?:rofl:rofl:rofl

Taylor had the activity, the handspeed, the skills, and the stamina to have given Floyd an EXTREMELY difficult fight at 140.

For you to suggest that it's laughable leads me to believe that you never saw Taylor's beat down of McGirt.

You Floyd groupies are an embarrassment.

Oh and for the record, I'd pick Floyd over Taylor, both at their bests. But it's FAR from an easy fight.

I, know who meldrick is & who aaron davis is too just for the record. Was meldrick a monstorous power puncher or just a glorified philly brawler? I, think he was the latter!!

Post-Chavez version of Taylor, pre-Norris, beats Khan, Ortiz, and probably Maidana too. Maidana would have the best chance since Taylor was so hittable and brawl-happy. But in addition to just being inferior skill and talent wise, Maidana is also vulnerable to the body, and Taylor was a terrific body-puncher.

Khan, Ortiz, and Maidana all lose to Aaron Davis and possibly Glenwood Brown as well.

    Based on what?
    The Chavez fight?

    He had Chavez Beat.
He Just Let the Philly out...Couldn't keep it contained.

I think he could have hung with Floyd maybe even present some Problems...Pac Man Might have Sparked him not sure.
