Will have to wait until Waldo retires before saying one way or the other. Both men have very similar cv's. Both have better cv's than Tyson in fact.
1. Vitali 2. Old and shop worn Holyfield 3. Rahman 2 (Lewis's best performance) 4. Briggs 5. Mercer 6. Mavrovic 7. Shot Tyson 8. Tucker 9. Razor 10. Tua
No need to wait till he retires. He's been dropped down to Eurosport level:rofl Nobody wants Wlad anymore , now he is reduced to fighting on Eurosport. I joked that he belonged down there before. But I never actually though it would happen.:rofl
It has to be. I don't recal ES ever airing any world title fights and the botton barrel HW fights the aired recently like Charr v Spaglam and Solis v Larsen were on tape delay by a week:rofl
1. I give him credit for beating Vitali. 2. Old and shop worn Holyfield - you said Lewis CV was better than Tysons, is the win over Holyfield that much greater than Tysons over Holmes? Holmes went on to beat Ray Mercer (much more impressively than Lewis) and depsite his age, gave a decent performance against Mccall, who knocked Lewis out. While Holyfield went on to lose to the likes of Ruiz. Holmes also gave a decent performance against a prime Holyfield whereas the Klitskchos dont even want to touch Holyfield 3. Rahman, yes it was agreat performance, but who was Rahman, and what was he known for? he was known for landing that one punch against Lewis, other than that there was nothing special about Rahman. Tysons performance against Berbick was just as good if not better. And Berbick was probably a better fighter than Rahman. After getting dismantled by Tyson Berbick fought for 14 years and no one ever stopped him. Rahman on the other hand was stopped numerous times. 4. Briggs was nothing special either. Whats his best win? This is a guy who nearly knocked Lewis out in the first round. Briggs claim to fame was robbing a 50 year old Foreman. Briggs is about as qualified as Bruce Seldon was, obviously Briggs hits harder though. But all Briggs ever was was a title holder, for a belt he didnt deserve in the first place ala Seldon 5. Mercer. A good performance from Lewis, but hardly a convincing one and some say he lost that fight too. Tysons win over Tony Tubbs was much more impressive. The same Tubbs who some say beat a prime Bowe and who the Klits were using as a sparring partner a few years back. 6. Macrovic. The guy is not known for anything except making things difficult for Lewis. Another fighter whose nothing special. Buster Mathis Jnr who Tyson destroyed was just as good. 7. Shot Tyson. If Tysons cv is ****, why give Lewis credit for beating a **** fighter? 8. Tucker. Tysons CV is ****, but you give Lewis credit for beating Tucker, who was a crack addict at that time. Yet Tyson beat the undefeated Tucker who was in his prime? 9. Razor Ruddock. A good win for Lewis, but dont forget Ruddock went through 19 gruelling rounds and got his **** pushed in by Tyson beforehand and secondly, i remember on a previous thread very clearly you questioned the legitimacy of Tysons win over Ruddock by asking 'who did Ruddock ever beat'. But its fine for you to list him as a good win for Lennox? 10. Tua. A great clinic over a pretty one dimensional and limited fighter Face the facts, Tysons resume is just as good as Lewis' maybe a notch lower due to Lewis wins over Vitali and the fact that Lewis avenged his losses. If people are gonna give credit to Lewis for beating the likes of Bruno, Golota, Botha, Ruddock, Biggs and Tucker etc, then dont forget Tyson fought all these guys too and asides from Tucker, he knocked all of them out. And Tysons CV is head and shoulders above Wlads
Yeah, they normally show fights aired from somone`s basement. Did you see Kevin Johnson - Christian Hammer fight on ES. They could organize the same show in my living room :yep.
