The point is, communications from both sides were terrible. It got so bad that Mayweather tried negotiate the fight himself. It's certainly not traditional move, and I don't blame Pacquiao for not wanting to to a deal that way. However, if Pacquiao's side is refusing to talk to Mayweather's people, then how does Mayweather take all the blame when he took the unusual step of calling up Pacquiao himself?

Mannys win over Oscar has to be a top over rated win in the history of boxing. You have to look at that in hindsight. Oscar had nothing in the tank...the weight was too big of an obstacle. Manny was Manny...but Oscar was trash. @154 a win over Oscar would have been legit. Not Mannys fault but I dont consider that a good win at all.

$10M overweight penalties aren't the standard either. But that's how it goes in boxing. You have two fighters and both sides can negotiate many customized terms.

I never said he ducked the standard testing for boxing. I said Mayweather wanted standard USADA testing procedures and Pacquiao wanted a 24 day cutoff and wanted to pick out how many times he could be blood tested and when these tests would occur. That of course defeats the purpose of random testing.

Both sides are ultimately responsible but Floyd calling Manny is no more of an intention than me challenging you to a fight on this message board. He wasnt trying to make the fight... he was using it as a way to try and prove that he was trying to make the fight... just like Mannys charity fight...ALL OF IT....is just talk.

Here's the thing though, did you see many people ripping Manny for his charity fight offer? No, that didn't happen. And that's part of the problem with this thing. There is very little accountability on Pacquiao's side. They can lie, contradict themselves, and make up a bunch of nonsense and no one calls them out on it. Just imagine if Pacquiao were the one asking for blood testing and Mayweather said no because he said he wouldn't be able to train for 3 days after getting blood drawn. Would anyone have accepted that answer? I doubt it.

When this fight was first being negotiated, the fight was supposed to be in May of 2010. Manny said it had to be in March because he wanted to run for office. Now if Mayweather refused to bend and insisted on the fight being in May, do you think anyone would have let that slide? I doubt it. Yet somehow, when Pacquiao's side insisted on a proposed 2012 fight being held in June knowing full well Mayweathwr would be incarcerated , no one blinked an eye. However, they jumped down Mayweather's throat when he called the guy up and offered him $40M.

Pac needed the KO to get a decisive win. Mayweather wouldn't need a KO, because, he is levels above Marquez.

pac was coming back in that fight and was building steam when he got ktfo. mayweather would never brawl with marquez. mayweather would box his way to a rather uneventful unanimous decision. no fireworks, no pomp, no circumstance nothing. i feel sorry for miss jackson.
