Boxing Matters is very much like the Sunday Supplement on Sky. Very understated, but a good discussion piece from those informed in the game Bunce Hour blows hot and cold. Some week's it is so random with no structure, whereas on other weeks it is bang on the issues of the moment
At its best Bunce hour is the best on tv for boxing, however sometimes it can be shite with Bunce likeing the sound of his voice to much. Boxing matters is a more solid show but does not have the peaks of bunce show. I like watching both!
Boxing Matters, Alex Steedman is really good and to the point without gimmicks. Barry Jones is the best thing about The Boxing Hour, actually Lillis is pretty good too
Boxing Matters for me. It's a good little show that probably should be on longer. Alex Steedman is straight to the point and the guests like Colin Hart, Jeff Powell and the big guy Gareth Davies i think are always good to listen to. Bunce hour is really good at times, but most of the time him and wee Barry just fanny about kissing arse.
I find it tough listening to journalists because so many of them know sod all about the sport. They get told what they're allowed to be told and that's it. Very little insight and very few read fights well.
The journalists on boxing matters are not commentators and are not on the show to read fights they're just there to give their views on what's going on in boxing atm. I don't know what you mean when you say they get told what they're allowed to be told? What else is there? The guys on the TV who do know about the sport like you say, are not any better because they're not telling it like it is which is worse IMO.
