Muhammad Ali exhibition fight royal Albert hall

Just checked cyberzone, there is an unknown opponent for that date!!

 

He gave an exhibition on a bill in the UK after he had beaten Foreman .I think it was at the RAH ,he sparred with John L Gardner.
Ali was overweight amd wore a rubberized top.

 

It's John Gardner and Joe Awome (a journeyman British heavyweight). Ali was comically overweight but apparently still capable of impressing in short bursts.

I remember Muhammad being grossly overweight. He still looked surprisingly fast given his condition.

 

Hey guys would any of you know who might have been attending the exhibition, the reason I ask is because I have a pair of gloves with Muhammad Ali & John L. Gardner's signatures on them, together with the following names:

Alan Minter
Boza (Cornelius) Edwards
David 'Boy' Green
Jim Watt
Maurice hope
Al Phillips
Jimmy Batten

I still have 9 autographs to identify!

It may be that the gloves were not signed at that event, just a possibility as most of the autographs, if not all of them, are British boxers.
