    Nice job good list, I know Vito Antufermos loss was a decision in the NY golden Gloves to Eddie Gregory-Mustafa Muhamad who became Light Heavyweight champ and Heavyweight contender

    Interesting list;
    Johnny Nelson has an interesting amateur record of 3-10.
    He turned pro and became a long reigning Cruiserweight Champion.

    The only thing I can add is that one I think the American records are a tad inflated and two that taylor won a gold medal.

    Thanks for posting this Jas. I'm keeping this in my archives. If you want to add a name, Chagaev who beat F. Savon twice was 85-3

    American amateurs were brutal, National golden gloves was thick with talent golden glove champions from all over the USA...In NY alone I watched guys like Antufermo,Bowe as a BIG 6'5 lightheavyweight,Gerry Cooney a 6'6 middleweight, the Davis brothers,Mark Breyland,Eddie Gregory(who became Eddie Mustafa Muhamad) Howard Davis Jr and I remember Davis and Ray Leonard fighting in the Nationals I saw live..I was extremely impressed with both men...so many more...back then if you made it to the Nationals you were a bad ass...
