Commentators and fans going on like they're world beaters just because they beat a handful of nobodies. I'm not fishing for anything, it's just annoying how Brits get over excited time and again over fighters who are just average novices, and therefore it's very satisfying when they get stuffed by journeymen. That is all.

They were only ever going to be potential British champions/challengers. I didn't see anything more in either than that. And I'm not sure anybody else hyped them as anything more than that.
There was a thread earlier this week slagging off FW for putting Buglioni in an easy fight. Anyone with a brain knew it was tough test for the 'Wise Guy'.
You mean the commentators who's job it is to talk up the house fighter? Have you watched boxing before? Because happens on practically every single ffightcast in the world. Regardless no one has over hyped either fighter, and this thread is a transparent dig at british fighters. Get a life mate
When did I say it wasn't a dig at British fighters? I already said who over hypes them - the commentators, fans and British media. After three fights they get talked about as hot prospects, then they get exposed. It has been happening for years. No one over hypes like the Brits.
These are still novice fighters, if you think building a fighters profile is over-hyping then how do you gain exposure. There is a difference, Broner was over-hyped that's not to say he's a bad boxer but his fall from grace made world wide headlines because of all the hype. Strangely enough i don't recall him being a Brit.
