Been following Pac since Barrera and I can tell his 35 now. Sad thing to see but he is over his prime. Pre-Cotto Pacquiao would've knocked Bradley out. Also sad because I would've liked to see Pac fight Floyd after Cotto or Hatton.

Liked how HBO stayed away from mentioning the still "superfight" with Mayweather since he jumped to Showtime. It's all about the money...Pac should end with Top Rank, jump to showtime and fight Floyd and hang them up.

At 35 - 36, Floyd is clearly the better fighter - which amplifies the suckiness of them not fighting in their primes.

it was a great fight, i really enjoyed it, was on edge of my seat, bradley clearly won round 11 in my book too

Calling one of the general consensus top 50 fighters in a major international sport "ordinary", as applied to that sport, let alone one of the general consensus top 10, is a type of ignorance that is, sadly, ordinary to boxing forums. Pacquiao is clearly not the same fighter he was, as he's gotten older (which happens to everyone btw) but he just beat probably the third best welterweight in the world. Bradley is anything but ordinary.

 

Manny won the fight, props to him, but his age is clearly showing. He would've been all over Bradley's ass nonstop if he had been around 3 years younger.

Bradley, idk wtf got into his head but he tried to one shot KO Pac. Boy you ain't no JMM lol.

 

I don't think Pac was just getting older per se.
I saw this in the Rios fight and I saw it here again: he still carry the vicious KO6 from JMM with him.
Although his chin can still take punches (Rios and Bradley did land flush and quite hard on Pac), his mind simply can't.
I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing because when Bradley hurt Pac tonight, that's when Pac started fighting smart.
His stamina is obviously not like how it was in '09, but it's still there. Bradley, a young and hungry top P4P fighter coming off a big win and undoubtedly in his prime, can't keep up with Pac in the mid-late rounds.

This statement that Floyd is clearly better could indeed be true. However, we are basing this on superb performances against guys like Canelo and Guerrero. These guys don't possess the speed of a Manny Pacquiao (even at age 35). Boxing is about match-ups. We all know Marquez is a better match-up for Bradley than Pacquiao. Mayweather is older now too. Pacquiao will make him HAVE to work harder than what he's been used to. How does his body react to this? This ain't the 29 year old Mayweather from the De La Hoya fight either. I still think it's an intriguing fight.

 

I know your take on Pac-Tim 1, but frankly, its your worst bit of scoring ever.

I generally score quite close to you on these threads, but that was a practise session for Pac, where Tim won one round with any degree of certainty.

There were a couple of swing rounds so you could score it anywhere from 11-1 to 9-3.

My total aggregate range for both fights would be 21-3 to 17 -7, and everybody with a lick of sense (including Tim) knows that Pac won both events.

This makes the call for a third fight hard to fathom.

 

I agree, Pacquaio is still the best challenge to Mayweather.
